UTH Cizik School of Nursing Spring 2021 (Pacesetter)

Hi everyone! I found this forum last night and figured I would create this for anyone who wants to discuss the pacesetter program for Spring 2021. The application deadline will be here before we know it! I will be taking courses at San Jac this Summer to finish my pre-reqs ( a lot of the unfortunately ). Hope everyone is staying safe and taking this time to prepare as much as possible. I had been volunteering at Methodist but unfortunately that has ceased for now. Post anything you’d like here!

I am still on the waitlist and haven't heard anything back yet, I'm not sure when we will either ?

How did you not get in?

My overall is 3.75, science 3.84, HESI 92.9

This was my first time applying and I didn't get accepted either. So frustrating. I'm not sure what to do. I could keep re-taking classes to raise my GPA and take the test again but I feel like that's expensive. Especially considering my stats aren't that bad.

nope! it's been super quiet lately, I don't even think anyone's gotten denials yet.

Hey everyone, I’m currently an S1 and I know a lot of people who were taken off the waitlist  going into December. I also know one was taken off a week before Christmas so hang in there if you haven’t heard anything and good luck ? congratulations to everyone who was accepted.

Just stumbled upon this forum. Applied for Spring 2021 and the site says we should’ve found out November 15 (yesterday) or around then! Anyone heard back?

Acceptances and waitlists already came out, if you didn’t receive an email from them yet that means that you got denied they just haven’t sent out the denial emails yet. I’m think today they might.

Hey!  I stumbled across this forum. So I also got waitlisted for Spring 2021.  I received an email this past Friday 11/20 in regards to the BON background clearance.  Did anyone else get it?

Hi everyone. I applied for the upcoming Spring 2021 Pacesetter BSN program. As you'all may well know, we were all supposed to be notified by November 15th (or November 16th because the 15th was a Sunday) of our status.

Well, it's November 24, 2020 and I still haven't received an email, snail mail, phone call or anything concerning my status.

This despite me leaving messages to more than one person (whose supposed to be there to help, but haven't responded to my inquiries) and also being told (on two different occasions) that applyUTH would be updated (and it wasn't) and that they sent out notifications by mail last Monday.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Have you checked your portal? I didn't receive anything either but I checked my portal and it showed my denial.

Hi Erica Aparicio. Yes, I checked my portal under applyUTH. And as of right now (Tues. Nov. 24, 2020 at 6:52 pm., Houston time) it still says "Application under review". I also still haven't received a response via email, USPS, or call back. And I keep getting the run around whenever I try to get in contact with the "only" person who can help me.

Hey! I just checked mine and it STILL says under review. I checked right now 11/25/20 at 12:53 am. I am pretty sure I will be denied though because the accepted cohort seems pretty full and the majority of the waitlist has been notifed already also. I also have not received anything from UTH other than a transcript evaluation. But who knows. I guess we just keep waiting.
