UTH Cizik School of Nursing BSN Pacesetter- Fall 2019

Published

Hey everyone?!

Just wanted to start a forum to see if there are any other nursing student applicants for the Fall semester? I just applied, although, I know I will not get a response until beginning of April. I was so excited since I just finished my HESI. I had to retake it since I did not take Vocab. the first time I took it? . Anyways, I really pray I get in for August so I can get started and not need to take any additional classes for other schools. My friend got in for Spring 2019 and she is loving it. I have really been fighting to get here for a VERY LONG TIME

I really can't wait. Good luck to everyone! ?

Lol yea the thread has been so quiet but I’ve been on other forums looking up dates. I’ve even been on forums that have nothing to do with UTH or even Texas lol. I think I’m just addicted to the forums lol. Seeing people’s happiness when they get into their schools. I want it to be usssssss lol

I know right.

Do anyone apply in UT austin. I didn't find any thread related to it...

I am the same way but then my anxiety level goes up from the excitement and waiting period. I just want to know so bad! I want IN.

I am curious to know how y'all are going to get by financially? I am a single mom to 3 kids and have money saved up. I will be working FT again to save more, but I can't help but get a bit nervous. Will you guys work during the program? I know they discourage it, but I may work PRN to get some income coming in.

Well I have a daughter and my fiancé works but I know what he makes alone won’t be enough. I currently work full time so if I get into the program I will definitely be trying to work part time or per diem but I don’t know how that will work out for me. Worst case scenario I’ll take out a loan to help with expenses until after I graduate.

Yeah, I do not want to get loans since I still owe on my medical assistant loans, but whatever must be done. I have been applying and looking for more scholarships. At the end, this will all be worth it.

Yea I also still have loans from previous schooling but like you said, I just keep focusing on the fact that it will be worth it in the end. The end will justify the means. Now we just gotta get this show on the road lol.

Yes, definitely! I have tried to stay off allnurses because I feel obsessed with wanting an answer. I cannot wait to find out. We are almost there!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one obsessively checking her email, portal, and AN. My heart starts racing every time I see a new post in this thread, thinking acceptances have started going out.

this has been my biggest concern! Ive never not worked through school but this is the most important time so I decided not to risk it. Moving away from my family and friends. So ill be broke and alone lol

Hopefully if all goes well and we get accepted will anyone be looking for a roommate?
