Just wanted to start a forum to see if there are any other nursing student applicants for the Fall semester? I just applied, although, I know I will not get a response until beginning of April. I was so excited since I just finished my HESI. I had to retake it since I did not take Vocab. the first time I took it? . Anyways, I really pray I get in for August so I can get started and not need to take any additional classes for other schools. My friend got in for Spring 2019 and she is loving it. I have really been fighting to get here for a VERY LONG TIME
It looks like last year they didn't send acceptances until May 31st, really hoping that's not the case this year.
If that's how it was last year that's highly likely how it will be this year, except it could be on the 30th to follow the Thursday pattern. But honestly, no one knows! Summer decisions came out almost 2 weeks later than "usual" this year ?♀️

I'm not sure. I tried looking for the answer on their website, but I couldn't specifically find whether or not it can be taken separately. I imagine that you can't and have to take the whole test over again, which is infuriating.

Yea I think usually that’s what I’ve heard. I’ll try emailing them just to get a sure answer. I better start studying again. Might as well try to do better than last time while I’m at it lol.

I had inquired about this earlier and was told I could only take it separately if I had already taken HESI twice (since they only allow you take it twice). Not sure how true.
Yeah, so bummed I didn't get called. It tells me they absolutely look at overall GPA/transcript. My pre-nursing GPA is a 3.88, my Science GPA is a 4.0, and I got a 92.4 HESI overall with a 100 on the A&P section. I received a Transcript Evaluation for that application cycle as well (still had/have classes in progress). But my overall GPA is a 3.4 because of older classes from years ago. That definitely weighed me down. I feel like since I didn't get in to Summer (the "easiest" time of year), then I realistically have a very slim chance for getting into Fall (the "hardest" time of year). Here's to hoping though!
We have very similar stats. I have a 3.44 overall, a 3.83 prereq, a 4.0 nursing science, and a 98.29 HESI (with 96 in reading and bio, 98 in vocab and grammar, and 100 in chem, A&P, and math). Do you already have a BS or are you applying with just the 60 hours of prereqs?

No prior degree or work in the medical field, just the 60 credits
I just got my transcript evaluation in the mail. I applied 12/25/2018. They took all my prereq credits except for my stats class. I'm not sure why. The only thing I can think of is that my stats class is 4 credit hours and their requirement is 3 credit hours(?).?♀️

They wouldn't accept my business statistics class which was a higher level than what they require so i had to take a psych stats class to fulfill that requirement!

? I took the highest stats available in the Math department specifically to ensure it would transfer. Oh well. I guess I'll be a stats expert by the end of this summer.
