UTA AP BSN program Fall 17

Published

So I'm trying to see anyone is going to apply for UTA's AP BSN program the fall of 2017. I have been following threads and trying to get some information about how this program is set up. I did my application to the school last year for the Fall of this year. I'm trying to knock out my science classes, but I have withdrawal from my biology class 4 times and Im wanting to take my chemistry over the summer. Possibly doing my other 2 sciences with UTA. I haven't taken the Hesi A2, I plan to take that around the Fall. So, I just like us to update with each other and encourage each other to get into the program. I would do my stats, but I haven't taken gotten them yet. As soon as Im finished, I will post them. Everyone is free to post theirs

Thanks so much for that information!!!!!!

That is such a relief! I will let you know what she says.

I took Pharm at El Centro

Specializes in Pediatrics, Geriatrics.

I'm currently in the RN-MSN program but doing my BSN on the way. Should be done by May 2017!!

Good luck!

OK guys here is the clarification: HPRS 2300 is NOT accepted from DCCCD. Only RNSG 1301 and 1311 from Mountain View and Brookhaven only. Unfortunately, I took HPRS 2300 :(

Oh nooooo sorry about that. I am taking RNSG 1301 right now at Mountain view and will be taking 1311 in the spring. It is so much cheaper!

I might do that!!!!

How is it so far? Online or on campus?

I planned on taking Patho, Pharm, and tje elective all in the Spring at UTA

Online. You can take Patho and Pharm at Mountain view and take the elective at UTA. So far it's not that bad.

Chichi 89- Please, did you purchase the books for both Pharm and Patho for your Online course at Mountain View? If so, only if you no longer need them, once I verify if I need them, can I purchase yours for the Spring Term? Also I am trying to get clarification at the moment because my advisor asked which DCCCD location I am taking the 2 courses at and she mentioned Brookhaven is what UTA accepts as though MV is not allowed, Im still trying to verify. This is so confusing!

Ouch! I have a friend that will be taking Pharm in the Spring she already old me earlier that she will purchase mine. If not I would have sold it to you. I'm sorry. I am taking mine at Mountain view online. UTA accept from Mountain view ND Brookhaven only.

I am yet to take Patho in the Spring. I haven't purchased the book.

Who is your Micro teacher at UTA FuturenurseV_?

Dr.Frederick..I think this is her first time teaching it

FutureNurseV_ are you a student of UTA? I am waiting on the school where I got my first Bachelor's degree to send my transcript to UTA. Do you know when their application deadline is for the fall? Not the nursing school but the school itself.

Yes I'm already a student at UTA. I've been taking all of my science prereqs there to have another "consideration" I tried to start taking classes in January but my I don't think my application was accepted on time. They have pretty strict registration deadlines :( ..For Fall 2017 the deadline for the "2nd application - the one you need to complete to start the upper division nursing courses" is January 6th, 2017

Chichi89- We are both in the same course then with Dr. Frederick. She is a great Professor! I have taken all of my science courses at UTA as well, the majority with her, and currently maintain a 4.0 Science GPA. How is Micro going for you if you dont mind I asking?
