UTA AP BSN program Fall 17

Published

So I'm trying to see anyone is going to apply for UTA's AP BSN program the fall of 2017. I have been following threads and trying to get some information about how this program is set up. I did my application to the school last year for the Fall of this year. I'm trying to knock out my science classes, but I have withdrawal from my biology class 4 times and Im wanting to take my chemistry over the summer. Possibly doing my other 2 sciences with UTA. I haven't taken the Hesi A2, I plan to take that around the Fall. So, I just like us to update with each other and encourage each other to get into the program. I would do my stats, but I haven't taken gotten them yet. As soon as Im finished, I will post them. Everyone is free to post theirs

How was the TEAS in comparison to HESI? I'm so hesitant but I have mostly all my credits from TWU so I will get points for that. IDK if I should or not. Did you buy the practice tests online?

TEAS is definitely tougher than the HESI. I bought a study guide & downloaded an app on my phone, but didn't do any practice tests.

FYI I've heard they added another clinical spot in Houston for fall, and are trying to add an additional spot in Katy for Spring, not sure how accurate this information is.

Clinical spots in Houston are difficult to get because there are soooooo many area schools vying for the spots.

I am applying as well. I want to get into the Fall 2018 session. I am studying for the HESI now. Here are the classes that I still have to take: Chemistry, Patho, Pharma. If you live in the DFW area and want to partner up with me to get through this, please send me an email.

Did anyone from this 2016 thread get accepted to the program?

Many got in, some of us turned our spots down, most got in off the waitlist.

Hi! I currently live in Houston, Tx, Graduated ftom HCC with associate In Arts.I transferd to UTA 2017 and have completed tech writing, Legacy of The Family, and Intro to Nursing that they require me to take.Im now enrolled in Patho&Pharm and planning on trying to meet the January 15th 2018 application deadline that start during the Fall 2018 I believe.I wish I could have split the two classes up cause they tough courses but I had to go back at my previous collge and complete General Chemistry 1 cause my intro to Chemistry didn't transfer over. You have to have General chemistry done in order to take Patho or Pharm.I didn't want to take on course now and have to wait to take the other one way next year.Im 37 years old and ready to get out of school asap.If anybody in the Houston area taking these courses plese feel free to let me know if anyone like to link up and form a study group.

I'm also applying for UTA Online BSN program this Fall.

Good luck to you.

I think you are in the wrong thread... this was those applying to start in the Fall of 2017, not applying Fall of 2017. Our ranking came out in April, and this class started in August of 2017.
