UTA AP BSN program Fall 17

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

So I'm trying to see anyone is going to apply for UTA's AP BSN program the fall of 2017. I have been following threads and trying to get some information about how this program is set up. I did my application to the school last year for the Fall of this year. I'm trying to knock out my science classes, but I have withdrawal from my biology class 4 times and Im wanting to take my chemistry over the summer. Possibly doing my other 2 sciences with UTA. I haven't taken the Hesi A2, I plan to take that around the Fall. So, I just like us to update with each other and encourage each other to get into the program. I would do my stats, but I haven't taken gotten them yet. As soon as Im finished, I will post them. Everyone is free to post theirs

Hello! I was waitlisted for approximately one week at the end of April before receiving an email from my nursing advisor at the end of this week (Friday) alerting me that a spot has opened for AO, San Antonio. They did call, I answered and no one said anything on the other line and hung up. Then five minutes later I received the email from my nursing advisor. I immediately accepted, of course! MyMav is down for me at the moment as I currently live overseas and it's almost 0400 over there, but my overall GPA is about 3.8, my science GPA is 4.0, and my HESI A2 score was about 370-ish (90% and above on all sections with an overall of 93%) if I remember correctly. I am not partnered. I am excited! Congratulations to everyone one their acceptance and those who are still waiting- be patient! It's a hurry up and wait situation.

I do have a question for prior students though if any of them look at this thread: what is the schedule for the 15 months like? Is it a straight 15 months with no breaks (winter, summer, etc?) or are there breaks and if so what is the duration of the breaks? Thank you for any and all of your help.

Well I started in September 2014. Its full 15 months, longest break is christmas. Thanksgiving break is only a few days. We had clinical the day before thanksgiving and started back up the next week. No summer break either................... its worth it....

No words, I am miserable.

Hello everyone, I've officially made an account. I am also waitlisted and devastated. Still anxiously waiting. My stats are 3.5 GPA, 4.0 Science GPA, not partnered and 340 on the Hesi. From Houston, Tx. I was told it is quite competitive for the Houston area for this fall start. Keeping my fingers crossed, this would mean everything to me if I could start this fall! I am currently taking Patho and Pharm online as well.

Stumbled upon this website because I googled "Wait list for UTA"

I as well am on the waitlist for both the Online and On campus program at UTA. Glad to see I'm not the only one getting super stressed over here waiting to get that phone call or email.

I just got my call and email. Accepted to Houston...

Great news! I thought you were attending TWU. Did you change your mind?

No, that's the funny part, I had turned down my waitlist position. Writing my formal statement to UTA right now to give up my spot.

Hello, how did you eventually do in pathophysiology. So sad but I bummed the first test, and was wondering if I could get help because I want to start next spring.

B. I bombed the 3 exam (most of the class bombs the 3rd exam). You should talk to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), she's really nice, and really good about working directly with students who are struggling.
