UTA AP BSN program Fall 17

Published

So I'm trying to see anyone is going to apply for UTA's AP BSN program the fall of 2017. I have been following threads and trying to get some information about how this program is set up. I did my application to the school last year for the Fall of this year. I'm trying to knock out my science classes, but I have withdrawal from my biology class 4 times and Im wanting to take my chemistry over the summer. Possibly doing my other 2 sciences with UTA. I haven't taken the Hesi A2, I plan to take that around the Fall. So, I just like us to update with each other and encourage each other to get into the program. I would do my stats, but I haven't taken gotten them yet. As soon as Im finished, I will post them. Everyone is free to post theirs

Yes they accept Pharmacology and Pathophysiology from DCCCD, but most people don't know about this. I confirmed it from an advisor

I'm taking Pharm and Patho together next spring! I didn't know they accept Pharm and Patho from DCCCD! I may do this instead. I've been using loans for my science prereqs from UTA and I'd like to save a little if possible!

Hey guys. I'm new to this forum and this is actually my first post here. I will be applying for the Fall of 2017 on campus and online program. I am a bit sceptical about completing an online nursing program. For those of you that have, how was your experience? And I am also planning on taking Intro to nursing, elective course and Government 2306 all in the summer. How difficult is Introduction to nursing?

I think it depends on what you want your experience to be. I have a Bachelors and 2 masters already. I'd just like to learn the information, get experience, and start working so an online program is perfect for me. Someone else commented on another thread that they felt really prepared after this program as well so I think its a good option for those who are okay with a program completely online!

Hi, May I ask how do you feel about the online A&P2 and Micro? Is it difficult? How the exam work? that's exactly what I plan to take during the Fall 16.

Thank you in advance ;)

I actually love my Micro and A&P2 online UTA professor. I had her for A&P1 and she is very knowledgable. She helps you understand the content and I really learned a lot from the course. She uploads her lectures and powerpoints from in-class so that helps a lot too. I got an A in A&P2 and I'm hoping to get an A in Micro as well. I think I'm going to get a B in Chem tho. Thats the hardest class I've taken online.

Who is your Micro teacher at UTA FuturenurseV_?

FutureNurseV_ are you a student of UTA? I am waiting on the school where I got my first Bachelor's degree to send my transcript to UTA. Do you know when their application deadline is for the fall? Not the nursing school but the school itself.

I took Pharm at DCCCD and UTa will not take it. THey told me I have to take it t UTA :"(

Have you checked if UTA will accept your pharmacology from DCCD? I believe they require you to take it at their campus or at another university, not a community college. I would hate for you to spend the time and money and then they don't accept it.

Thanks for your input JADN

REALLY????? My advisor told me as of last semester they will no longer accept those! How an we clarify that??? That would be AWESOME!

Did you take the Pharmacology at Elcentro or Mountain view? My advisor told me that it has to be evaluated if you take those classes at another school. And finally sent me an email last semester that they do accept it. And I know some people taking it with me that are planning on transferring to UTA. Thurman612

You may want to go down to UTA to talk to an advisor. I was down there sometime in September with my course mate to meet an advisor and she told us that the only class they do not accept from Dcccd is "Intro to nursing and the elective." Those two has to be taken at UTA. But as for Pharm and Patho, they do accept it.
