UTA AP BSN program Fall 17

Published

So I'm trying to see anyone is going to apply for UTA's AP BSN program the fall of 2017. I have been following threads and trying to get some information about how this program is set up. I did my application to the school last year for the Fall of this year. I'm trying to knock out my science classes, but I have withdrawal from my biology class 4 times and Im wanting to take my chemistry over the summer. Possibly doing my other 2 sciences with UTA. I haven't taken the Hesi A2, I plan to take that around the Fall. So, I just like us to update with each other and encourage each other to get into the program. I would do my stats, but I haven't taken gotten them yet. As soon as Im finished, I will post them. Everyone is free to post theirs

I'm in the same boat :(. Did you end up retaking it? I did mine at UTA few weeks ago as was told by a guy at the testing center that "learning style and personality sections were OPTIONAL" so I didn't take the personality section.

I did very well on the test so I went ahead and apply anyway. My HESI score has been posted and I haven't got any email from the nursing department about incomplete HESI score.

Do you think my application will be declined?Have you talked to your advisor about this?

Im pretty sure the learning and personality portions are required. But I could be mistaken. I'd contact your advisor and ask them what you should do.

The learning and personality portions are required for first time takers. I remember my advisor telling me that.

@Reese1982 Yes it was my advisor who asked me to retake the exam and only take those 2 portions. I did, and I updated my PDF in the application with the 2 learning and personality style reports.

Was told by my adviser yesterday that we should hear something by late March.

For anyone taking Nursing 3366 this semester, that syllabus has just been posted on syllabus search off the current student menu. I feel better taking Pharm and Patho this semester now that I have seen the syllabi.

Have you taken patho and pharm same time? How was it? Who were your teachers? Any advise would help please. Thanks.

so your taking patho and pharm same time? I am debating right now. I am currently enrolled to both.

I am registered to take both this semester, and I have seen the syllabi for both. I invested in the study guides for both classes, and pharma looks more intense but I believe it is definitely doable. Of course, I also feel I have a solid background in A&P, former pre-med, with a degree in Neuroscience. So, I'm walking in with a fairly solid background and some previous exposure to the material.

I also started reading and preparing around Christmas because I work full time and a head start helps me. Both professors prepare excellent study guides. The exams for both are critical thinking based, which is my strong suit... but others may find that more challenging.

For those registered for NURS 3366-600 Patho, it is now accessible on blackboard.

Is it required for UTA BSN program to be partnered with a hospital?

It is not required but is a huge advantage.
