Have you taken the NET exam?

The Texas BON requires a background check for license, so I believe that all of the nursing schools also require one in order to help prevent graduating nurses that will be unable to receive their license.

I hadn't heard of it either, but I got an email today from Texas A&M asking me to get a background check.

I got the same email. I am scheduled to get my fingerprint tomorrow. I guess that means we are still in the running for A&M.

I don't know how everyone else got their interview letters, but that's the only thing I've received. No UTlink info or transcript evaluation...only my interview letter; makes me kinda nervous. I keep calling, and they keep telling me it's coming in the mail, but it's been almost a month since my interview letter. I don't get it. Anyone?

I've received about 4 transcript evaluations in the mail. I think this is because I sent so many transcripts last minute and I think that you get one for each transcript you send. I wouldn't stress out about not receiving one since you got the interview letter but I would call up there again and ask. They should atleast be able to tell you your UTlink information.

Question... I never received a transcript evaluation in the mail... I got my UTLink information and then of course my interview invitation way later, but I was under the impression that we only received transcript evaluations if there were things missing/not transferable on our transcripts?? Am I wrong? I also moved last October and had to keep bugging UT to change my address, I know they're busy but I didn't want anything to get lost... So everyone received a transcript evaluation? Everyone??

The transcript evaluation gives you the 3 GPAs and all the courses that you received credit for and which ones still need to b completed.

Did you receive that before or after your interview letter? And, if you dont mind me asking, when did you submit your application? I did notice on my letter, it stated I have NOT completed the TSI requirements. However, I have graduated from Lone Star College in May 08 with an Associate of Science. So yes, I have completed the TSI requirements. I thought this was handled over a month ago, but I am getting this letter now stating different. I did email them and they stated it had been fixed, but of course I am going to have to make sure on Tuesday. I do not want a mistake like this to get in my way of Nursing school.

I submitted my application in late Nov.

I received my letter with UTLink information, then my interview letter. No transcript evaluation. I'll probably try calling tomorrow just to ask, because I moved in October so maybe they sent it out before I got a chance to change my address...

I still think if anyone got their interview letter, everything should be ok.. But just to be safe

hey guys! i have my interview tomorrow and i was wondering if yall had any advice on what to bring as far as for the waiting? like food or drinks or books or something? maybe what yall brought or wish you had brought?

I was just wondering what form you were talking about? I did request my transcript online from LSC, but I was not aware of another form I had to fill out to update my courses. Could you fill me in on this please? I would appreciate it :)
