UT Houston Fall 2010 (University of Texas at Houston)

Anyone here applied already?

Have you taken the NET exam?

I haven't received an interview letter yet either although I should. I'm going to wait until the end of next week before I call to check up. I am also growing impatient.

Got back from the interview

You sign in and turn in your resume

There are about 21 students (A-H I believe)

We sit 4 in a table

The first hour you have to complete a packet:

series of questions and a crtical essay

Then a small break, you can go buy something to eat or to drink

or you can bring your own

Then they call you one at a time, someone will escort you to the 3rd floor

to meet with the interviewer

That's about it

NOW THE WAITING GAME!!!

April 1 is when they'll notify us if we get accepted or not

I just got back from my interview also. It pretty much goes as previously discussed. Fairly basic questions but I was so nervous. I don't know if I did so well. My answers sounded much better in my head. I hope I get in:confused: My only advice is to just relax. That's the only thing I would have changed about my interview. Good luck!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I'm not looking for any inside info, that's just the kind of post I was hoping for from anyone interviewed today. Just something to tell me how it's going to go!! :)

Good luck on interviews everyone! i have one on the 16th so if theres anyone else that day then maybe we can meet up! also, any advice on how long it is and maybe what to wear to the interview would be great too! thanks!

My interview is also the 16th. I think the only way you'll be there less than 4 hours is if maybe you're one of the people to be interviewed first. I think after the actual interview you can leave (you'll have to confirm that with someone who tested today, though), but it just depends when you're called in for the interview.. Just plan to be there for about 4 hours just in case, and if you leave earlier than that then that's cool but don't count on it. :)

We started our packet at 11:40 and finished around 12:40. We took a break to get something to eat and met again at 1. They began calling names for the interview(random). I interviewed about 8th or 10th somewhere around there. I finished around 2.:uhoh3: Good Luck!!

You can leave right after your interview

just make sure you said it to the ladies

so they can call on the next person

@kjenni who are you in the group?

Hey guys, if anyone needs resume help, you could use the Curriculum Vitae format.

Im sure you all did great!

just wear something professional

most people worn black...looked like a funeral gathering :p

they will provide you pens, paper, and white-out for the packet

I don't know how everyone else is feeling, but I am super nervous. I'm on the 16th. Still gotta figure out what to put on my resume; I live a rather mediocre life. I don't know if there is anything I could put on the resume that would even stand out. Anyone run into that block. Is it even that important? I'm more nervous about the writing sample than I am about the interview.

Just a quick question if it's not too much to ask.. About how long was everyone's personal interview? I was just wondering about how long on average the personal interview is.

anyone that had their interview already willing to answer if the critical essay was a "what is a nurses role in..." prompt?
