I wanted to give a special CONGRATS to Onmyway2B12010!!!!!! :monkeydance: :monkeydance: :monkeydance:
I know it was crazy frustrating dealing with the NET test being lost (I was right there with you) BUUUUUUT...Now you get to go in and show em your stuff!!!
I will private message anyone who would like to share stories, and after my interview, I will be happy to share my experience. My interview is on the 18th.
The hard work was done ladies, and gents....this is where we show UT why WE are good not only for UT but for the medical community in general. You can not fake being compassionate. You can not fake being able to connect with people.
I hope this does not sound rude, but I do not feel like I am in direct competition with any of you. I am the only one who can be me. I am good at me, as I am sure you are good at you. I think you have to trust in your own abilities and believe in yourself. The committee can smell insecurity like a wet dog im sure.
Im so stoked!! I just can not wait.
Oh and my friend said that last semester they had a lil over 20 drop. She said "you think getting in is tough...HA! you have not seen nothing yet!"

FOR ANYBODY WHO REALLY NEEDS HELP OR AN INSIGHT ABOUT THE PROCESS I SUGGEST GOING BACK ONE SEMESTER
https://allnurses.com/tx-nursing-programs/ut-houston-spring-383641.html
^^ its alot of threads but it is really helpful!
for the interview you basically need
-a resume
-dress businesslike
-expect to be there the whole day
-interviews are starting at 11:30
-questions are going to be general
-and a critical thinking essay
-and they give u a sample schedule and explain how you can handle it
Kellywood- i cant private message you cause i dont have 15 posts yet :/
Apriljoy30 and anybody else who want to help each other out ... we should exchange emails or something!!; apriljoy i also met a girl that got in last semester :) i can share with you too!
I know we are all competition but we are all in the same boat and we should be encouraging each other! Some ppl think its okay to fetch specific info only for themselves and then have the nerve to merely suggest others not to share input after their interview. I NEVER ASKED FOR SPECIFIC INFO BOUT THE INTERVIEW, i just wondered how many ppl got their interview letter!
past forums have done nothing but be helpful to each other. i respect what you want to keep to yourself but i dont respect petty suggestions. if u get accepted in, rmr those ppl are STILL your competition til the end but past semesters still help each other out... they work together but it just depends on the person to finish the process... same goes for the interview!
gosh, i feel like this is a forum for a business interview!
