UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)

Hello Future Nurses,

Wanted to know if anyone was preparing to take the Hesi a2, and or applying to UT Houston before the Jan. 15, 2014 deadline for Fall 2014???? I would like to form a study forum!!

I could see my checkmark on my iPad. If it hasn't changed to a checkmark so you can accept/decline yet, I would probably call or email the woman who sent you the acceptance email (I'd name her, but I don't want to get in trouble!). Once you get that check mark, it will be just to the right of your status, and it will have a link that says "accept or decline".

Has anyone else been accepted since Wednesday? Just curious if they had sent out anymore emails! I was told/ it also appears that right before you are sent an acceptance email your hold status changes from nothing to an "admissions hold." For many of you it changed a few days before and for some it changed a few minutes before. I don't know if that is 100% accurate and don't want to worry y'all,but it is sorta exciting! Sadly, mine still hasn't changed yet but I am still anxiously waiting! Good luck to those of us still waiting 

Looks like we get to go through at least another day of torture. Anyone starting to wonder if that was it? Has anyone called and asked lately if there will be more emails? I called Friday and got a very tired sounding lady that gave me the generic "everyone will find out April 15th" line. Poor thing sounded like it was probably the 1ooth time that day she said it.

From reading your stats I totally don't understand how I got in before you. I guess there is some algorithm that decides. I wish you the best of luck, you totally deserve it. :)

The people who received the acceptance said they have until the 7th to reply (I think). So maybe after they find out how many accepted/denied they will send more acceptances? I hope we get something soon!!

My email said I had until the 11th to accept/decline, so please don't freak out yet (or by the 7th). There's only about 35 people on the fb page, so while I know that not everyone reads this forum, I think there are still plenty of spots, and maybe the acceptances come in waves. Maybe hearing by the 15th is for the second wave or something? Don't give up hope yet! I'm hoping you all get in and hear something soon - I know we've all worked so hard to get here. Hi everyone! I got an email last Monday saying I have been accepted into the program starting fall 2014! So exciting! I've also applied to UTMB but still have not heard back. I will look for the Facebook page! Good luck to everyone still waiting!

This was my first time applying. I did end up receiving a transcript eval dated the same as my admissions hold on 03/17.
