UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)

Hello Future Nurses,

Wanted to know if anyone was preparing to take the Hesi a2, and or applying to UT Houston before the Jan. 15, 2014 deadline for Fall 2014???? I would like to form a study forum!!

This is my second time applying to UT Health and I got my eval last time but I still haven't received it this time around. It's been days since they started sending it out. Do you guys know if everyone gets one?

From previous post some people didn't get an evaluation and still got accepted and some got an evaluation and did not get accepted. I don't understand the process

I haven't received an evaluation yet, but was told my application was being reviewed for fall admission via email. I do not understand why some people get them and some do not or the amount of time they take to send them out.

same here! I just emailed them asking about the eval. I was looking at last years posts for fall 2013( I know kinda stalkerish lol) and people started getting accepted around the 19th of march so I can't believe that it is so close.

We have all looked at last year's posts, haha. I have been waiting for this week because I saw that too!

LOL yes - I looked at last year's and summer's. I am anxious to hear! I have already been accepted to UTMB but since I can't move it is much closer than Galveston. I still have a yellow triangle and transcript on my to do list, and I have not received a transcript evaluation. Hopefully they will get moving on acceptances soon and we get in! :)

FYI the Houston Junior League offers free Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification classes through the American Heart Association. I was able to sign up for the April class, but it looks like it's full now. However, I'm sure they'll be posting classes for May soon so check back frequently and sign up for the class when it's available ASAP, as spots go fast!

Where would you be commuting to UTMB from? I am still trying to decide between UTMB and UT-Health and commuting from Houston is a big factor in all of this.

I live in La Porte, which is in between the Pasadena and Clear Lake area. Commuting is a big factor to consider, especially when you are already having to pay for the school itself. You were accepted for Summer at UTHealth, right?

I stalk these threads a little bit, so I'm sorry if I'm sounding creepy - LOL.
