UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say that I got my transcript evaluation in the mail today! Thankfully everything is correct! I just really hope they don't hold my overall GPA against me! I went to Oklahoma State right after high school & lets just say school was not my highest priority at the time. I am happy with my prerequisite and science GPAs though so hopefully that is all that matters. Fingers crossed! :)

So, any guesses on when they will be sending out notifications for changing statuses on MyUTH? I am hoping before the end of the month! I think we all are getting antsy now that the date they send notifications out last year has passed. :-) Anyone else checking your email like a crazy person throughout the day?

I have a friend who applied for the summer program and they told her the same thing. However, there are a ton of people on the Summer 2014 forum that have already been notified that they are accepted and only a couple were waitlisted from the spring semester. I am hopeful they will let us know early as well.

I applied for summer and fall and not heard anything nor have I received a transcript evaluation. I was reading the summer thread and I was worried because a lot of people got accepted for summer.

Hey y'all! Has anyone gotten a letter yet from UT-H? :) I just got mine today! Unfortunately, I'm in San Marcos at the moment and my permanent address listed is in Austin so I won't get to know until this weekend.

I got my course evaluation today in the mail ,but they didn't credit me for my AP exams. I just emailed them about it. Hopefully, they get it fixed soon. Did anyone else have this issue?

You're not alone. I also have the same problem and emailed them ([email protected]). I plan on emailing another address if I haven't receive a reply in a week. For now, just cross our fingers our problem will be fixed asap!

I got my course evlaution today also! I'm so excited to know that we are getting so close :)

Over GPA: 3.587

Nursing Gpa: 3.714

Science GPA: 3.750

It says that my history and philosphy requirements are not satisfied, but that because I'm still in the process of taking them.

I hope you guys with the AP exams problem get it resolve soon.

I don't think your overall GPA carries much (if any) weight. I know they look at science and pre-req GPA. I made it into the summer program with a 3.3 overall, 3.802 pre-req, and 4.0 science.

I got my transcript evaluation yesterday evening! (: It says the classes I am taking now (the only ones I have left to take) are the only ones not satisfied. They have my currently enrolled classes as the last thing listed on the evaluation.

If you are still waiting on a transcript evaluation... I noticed that an "Admissions Hold" was placed on my account the next day after my transcript evaluation was prepared (shows date prepared on physical evaluation.) My evaluation was prepared 3/05/2014, the "Admissions Hold" started 3/06/2014, and I received my evaluation in the mail yesterday, 3/19/2014. Just thought I would offer any possible frame of reference.

I am thinking everyone has that hold, yes?
