Yes, it is extremely early to begin talking about the Spring 2018 class, however, I thought it would be nice if we could all get together here and go through our pre-req/application/acceptance journey. It would be fun to lend support, chronicle our stresses and excitements and see how everything unfolds for us from now until the first day of class (assuming we get accepted).
I'll start:
I'm taking my pre-reqs at Lonestar (10 hrs for Spring, 14 hrs for Summer). I plan to take 18 hrs for Fall and will be testing out of 15 hrs via CLEP. I work PRN in a Critical Care unit at a major hospital. I will be taking the HESI in May; once Spring semester ends. Lastly, I have high hopes to be accepted into the Honors program once I am eligible to apply, since I have a deep interest in research.
I hope to hear from some of you! The application deadline is September 1 and there is a webinar info session at 10am tomorrow.
God bless.
I wouldn't be freaking out too much about what it's saying online just yet, remember they just updated and redid the entire myUTH system and they're using that apply site which is not what they've used before. They could still be working out the kinks of what's displayed. If you know your information is in, I wouldn't worry
Hi! I've been checking the pages of all the programs I am trying to get into. Since I am getting rather nervous about this one, and some of the comments are funny, I decided to make an account.
My stats according to the evaluation I received are:
Overall GPA: 3.790
Nursing Prereq GPA: 3.785
Prereq Science GPA: 3.750
Hesi: 95.60%
I'm also currently taking intro socio, phil, and a few extra courses right now. I feel like I read somewhere that UT Health sends letters even if one is not accepted, but I've been mixing up information about other programs, so does anyone happen to know if that is actually the case? Thanks in advance!
Oh okay . I have seen on past forums that's not everyone gets an evaluation. However, if you don't does that been your application was not reviewed? I don't understand why some people don't receive one.
I've been at this for nearly 2 years now and still don't understand. You will get mixed answers depending on who you talk to at UTHealth. And no to your question about not getting one and not being reviewed. There have been plenty of students accepted in the past that did not receive an evaluation, and some received an evaluation weeks after acceptance letter went out.
