  1. Congrats! A few of us are living out by the stadium. It's a little farther out but you get more for your money. Everywhere is pretty convenient!
  2. Hey everyone, I have a friend looking for a roommate. It's about 10 minutes from campus in the same neighborhood a few other girls in the program and I will be living in. It's 450/mo for one bedroom or 650/mo for two bedrooms. He's gone pretty much every weekend, so you'd pretty much have the place to yourself. If you're interested, let me know!
  3. Congrats on getting accepted! I'm not sure how to send a private message on here but would love to get your name and add you on FB! So far, I know two other girls in the cohort and an thinking about starting a FB group so we can all start getting excited together! If you know how to send a message, pass your name along and I'll add you on FB!
  4. For the accelerated program I was told you're required to have a bachelors degree already. The school of nursing staff is so nice - I'm sure If you call and ask they will let you know whether you are in or not. Good luck! And I'm pretty sure my email came from Shawna.
  5. I didn't even know they still used the points system. I think it's based on prerequisite grades.
  6. Hey! Have you heard anything yet? I got my acceptance via email about a week ago.
  7. I got my acceptance as well! Where are you planning on living?
  8. I got my acceptance through e-mail. If you haven't gotten one yet, I suggest calling the school.
  9. Hey everyone, I haven't seen a thread for the Summer 2018 Accelerated BSN program at Midwestern in Wichita Falls. Hopefully some of y'all are on here and are eagerly waiting on acceptance letters just like me! We should hear something any day now! Feel free to post stats or anything else. Good luck! Alex
  10. Kwilliams - I'm confused, what does Lamar have to do with UTH sending out notifications?
  11. I'd go with Tyler because of the pass rates, but I toured their campus and wasn't very impressed with their SIM lab. It was small compared to some of the others I have seen. But, Tyler is definitely a better school than SA.
  12. Taking the HESI more than twice, not having all courses complete, having the wrong courses complete, not having transcripts in on time, etc.
  13. Hi there, UTH covers the same material as TWU but in a lot less time. Therefore, it's much more rigorous. It's highly recommended that you don't work while attending UTH, but TWU allows you to work because you have more free time. Like someone else said, both have great pass rates but UTH is known nationally based on their graduate programs. My suggestion would be to apply to both. Nursing school is extremely competitive, so if you only get accepted to one program your decision will already be made for you. Good luck!
  14. I think it really depends on the individual. I didn't even apply to TWU because I'm not interested in a 2 year program. I learn best when I have to focus 100% for less time. I like immersion style learning where you are pretty much surrounded by the material all the time. Others are different. If you need to work or have time to do a 2 year program, then I'd suggest TWU. Hope this helps!
  15. Nothing yet! I'm also eager to hear!
