  1. I'm worried about this too. My score will likely be somewhere around there because I made a B in A&P I. I'm so stressed.
  2. I am applying for Spring 2018 ADN. I originally planned to apply to UT Health, but I need more flexible scheduling options and Lone Star seems to offer that. I am applying to the CyFair location. I have completed A&P I with a B and starting Engl 1301 tomorrow for Summer 6W2. I'm scheduled for the Hesi on August 8.
  3. I've started my application as well. I had originally planned to apply to UT Health, but decided on Lonestar since there seemed to be a little more flexibility in terms of scheduling.
  4. I rented the HESI study book by Elsevier. I got it from Chegg.com for just $12. The Elsevier website also has 1-2 full-length practice exams.
  5. After Summer semester, I will have more than the 40 hours required to finish my application by the deadline. I will have all 60 complete by the end of Fall semester. I'm in A&P I & Texas Gov. now and for Summer I am registered for Micro, A&P II, Statistics and English. Full load! I'm taking the Hesi in May. I've looked at other schools, and UT Health is definitely my first choice, so I'm nervous!
  6. Hi! That's great. How far are you in your pre-reqs and have you taken the HESI?
  7. I'm applying for Spring 2018 and created a thread for that, but I'm going to follow this one, too. You guys are posting some great information and I'm interested to see how it all turns out for you all. I went on the school tour yesterday and it only made me more motivated to get in. The school is truly like no other! Out of curiosity, are you all applying for the PARTNERS scholarship? Good luck to all of you!!!
  8. Yes, it is extremely early to begin talking about the Spring 2018 class, however, I thought it would be nice if we could all get together here and go through our pre-req/application/acceptance journey. It would be fun to lend support, chronicle our stresses and excitements and see how everything unfolds for us from now until the first day of class (assuming we get accepted). I'll start: I'm taking my pre-reqs at Lonestar (10 hrs for Spring, 14 hrs for Summer). I plan to take 18 hrs for Fall and will be testing out of 15 hrs via CLEP. I work PRN in a Critical Care unit at a major hospital. I will be taking the HESI in May; once Spring semester ends. Lastly, I have high hopes to be accepted into the Honors program once I am eligible to apply, since I have a deep interest in research. I hope to hear from some of you! The application deadline is September 1 and there is a webinar info session at 10am tomorrow. God bless.
  9. Thank you for responding! Yes, I know the A&P I/II and Micro are required. I was just wondering if the science credits I already had in BIOL I/CHEM I would cover the pre-reqs since the course listings say that the BIOL 1345 is required but doesn't say that a regular BIOL 1441 can be used if you have already taken the equivalent somewhere else. If I would have to take BIOL 1345, then I would not have A&P I/II completed by the deadline for the Fall 2018 application. If I can use the BIOL 1441, then I can take A&P I & Micro in the Summer '17 and A&P II in the Fall '17. That was my primary concern.
  10. Hi all, I'm new, so please feel free to direct me to any thread that may have already covered this: I am applying to complete my pre-reqs at UTA beginning summer semester. I have been to college previously so I have many of the pre-reqs completed. My question is about the BIOL 1345 and CHEM 1451 requirements. At my previous university, I took BIOL I & CHEM I for science majors which are equivalent to BIOL 1441 and CHEM 1441 at UTA. Would completion of these suffice for the CHEM 1451 & BIOL 1345 requirements? I noticed that either BIOL 1345 or BIOL 1441 can be used as a pre-req to A&P I/II as well as Micro. I've contacted the school, but since it's Christmas, I know I won't hear back for at least 1-2 weeks. Does anyone have insight about this? I just don't want to have to take BIOL & CHEM again if I have already completed the more advanced versions. Thank you in advance.
