UT Health Pacesetter BSN Spring 2018

Published

Yes, it is extremely early to begin talking about the Spring 2018 class, however, I thought it would be nice if we could all get together here and go through our pre-req/application/acceptance journey. It would be fun to lend support, chronicle our stresses and excitements and see how everything unfolds for us from now until the first day of class (assuming we get accepted).

I'll start:

I'm taking my pre-reqs at Lonestar (10 hrs for Spring, 14 hrs for Summer). I plan to take 18 hrs for Fall and will be testing out of 15 hrs via CLEP. I work PRN in a Critical Care unit at a major hospital. I will be taking the HESI in May; once Spring semester ends. Lastly, I have high hopes to be accepted into the Honors program once I am eligible to apply, since I have a deep interest in research.

I hope to hear from some of you! The application deadline is September 1 and there is a webinar info session at 10am tomorrow.

God bless.

Hey guys! I was just wondering if anyone else is having trouble logging onto and accessing the online portal?

Having the same issue. Cannot find any reference to it being down on their website though.

Me too

Can anyone please tell me the exact webpage url I have to use to log in, and check any information regarding acceptance status? Whichever one I'm using is clearly not working for me. Thank you : )

Y'all, the portal is down for the next few days. It said so on the website, not sure if it still stays it, though.

For those of you that are currently in the program, did you receive your acceptance through email, letter or both?

I am not in the program, but have applied twice before. You will receive an email and the status will change in your UTH portal. They also will send a letter via snail mail after the above notifications.

Hey guys, hypothetical question.... If lets say you guys got accepted to twu and ut health houston, which one would you pick, and why?

I think it really depends on the individual. I didn't even apply to TWU because I'm not interested in a 2 year program. I learn best when I have to focus 100% for less time. I like immersion style learning where you are pretty much surrounded by the material all the time. Others are different. If you need to work or have time to do a 2 year program, then I'd suggest TWU. Hope this helps!

It depends on cost and if I would be able to get housing, but I would probably pick UT

Why does it have to be "snail mail" lol
