UT Health Pacesetter BSN Spring 2018

Published

Yes, it is extremely early to begin talking about the Spring 2018 class, however, I thought it would be nice if we could all get together here and go through our pre-req/application/acceptance journey. It would be fun to lend support, chronicle our stresses and excitements and see how everything unfolds for us from now until the first day of class (assuming we get accepted).

I'll start:

I'm taking my pre-reqs at Lonestar (10 hrs for Spring, 14 hrs for Summer). I plan to take 18 hrs for Fall and will be testing out of 15 hrs via CLEP. I work PRN in a Critical Care unit at a major hospital. I will be taking the HESI in May; once Spring semester ends. Lastly, I have high hopes to be accepted into the Honors program once I am eligible to apply, since I have a deep interest in research.

I hope to hear from some of you! The application deadline is September 1 and there is a webinar info session at 10am tomorrow.

God bless.

Does anyone have any experience with the to-do list statuses for UTH? I submitted my transcripts a week ago and my to-do list has stated "initiated" ever since.

I called the registrar today and didn't get very far, she pretty much said that the reason why it's under "to-do" is because I have future coursework to complete. I asked if there were any further actions that I need to take and if my application would still be reviewed with a pending action and she impatiently said "I just answered your question" and repeated herself :///

The note under my to-do list DOES state that it will remain there since I have future coursework, but I am unclear if that disqualifies my application from being considered complete.

If anyone get get any clear answer, lmk :)

You're fine. Your status will stay that way until you have in progress coursework compete.

Hey guys

I've posted on the other UTHSC 2018 forum but I guess this forum is what is being used.

How long does it usually take for elsevier to send the Hesi scores to UTHSC? I originally planned to take the Hesi through the UT code but decided not to and took it at lonestar because they also had critical thinking which was what some of the other nursing schools around Houston were requiring.

So now I guess it's a waiting game to see if my scores are sent in time :/

I wish we could just print our results and hand it in person.

I've sent mine to various schools and it's always been done in about a week.

Okay that gives me hope! Thanks Brandon

I have a green dot on my application status. I believe it also states its complete. What color will it change to if I get accepted? Just curious.

I wish I knew...I've been denied twice and my green dot changed to a skull & cross bones(at least in my mind it did).

LOL that's pretty much the same image I have in my mind from last app cycle! Good luck this round, Brandon!

Hey guys,

On myUTH it says that my 'HESI A2 Test Scores' and 'Official Transcript' are both 'Initiated' under the status column of my To Do List. Does anyone know what this means? I have already submitted my HESI Scores but I still have several classes to take in the fall for my prerequisites. I have submitted an official transcript already but I will still have some classes 'in-progress' by the deadline of the application date so will the status stay 'initiated' or will it eventually change to 'complete'?

I also applied for Spring 2018. My stats are not nearly as good as some of the stats I have seen, My stats are

Pre-req GPA is 3.48(I think not sure how to calculate it)

Hesi overall- 87.8

A&P-84

Math-84

Vocabulary-84

Reading-94

Grammar-90

I am hopeful I get in. I wish I could retake the Hesi but I don't think that's possible so close to Sept. 1. My to-do list also says initiated.

I have 48 out of the 60 needed to apply and will complete the rest of the pre-reqs this fall. My transcript status says "initiated". Based on above posters, I don't think my application status will change to "complete" until I complete all 60 credits in December! Quiet confusing!! The HESI Score disappeared from my to-do list within a week after my HESI exam.

Hi Y'all, I applied the first week of July and my application has said complete for all of August but I still haven't received a transcript evaluation! I was just wondering if anyone else has??

Thanks!
