Yes, it is extremely early to begin talking about the Spring 2018 class, however, I thought it would be nice if we could all get together here and go through our pre-req/application/acceptance journey. It would be fun to lend support, chronicle our stresses and excitements and see how everything unfolds for us from now until the first day of class (assuming we get accepted).
I'll start:
I'm taking my pre-reqs at Lonestar (10 hrs for Spring, 14 hrs for Summer). I plan to take 18 hrs for Fall and will be testing out of 15 hrs via CLEP. I work PRN in a Critical Care unit at a major hospital. I will be taking the HESI in May; once Spring semester ends. Lastly, I have high hopes to be accepted into the Honors program once I am eligible to apply, since I have a deep interest in research.
I hope to hear from some of you! The application deadline is September 1 and there is a webinar info session at 10am tomorrow.
God bless.
Hi all. So, I have a major question regarding a class, and I can't get a straight answer. I graduated from UT over a year ago, and when I was there, I had to take Biostatistics. It was given as an introductory stats course, but it doesn't have the same course number as the transfer guide. Basically, psych majors take psych stats, bio majors take biostats, premed takes healthcare stats, and so on. My question is: should I take elementary stats just in case? I was told that I wouldn't know if it counted towards the statistics prereq until course evaluations were sent out (which are sent after the app due date and after classes at LSC start). I was also told that most students sign up for the classes they're not sure about, then drop it if it does count... but that costs money, and dropping a class a week after results in a loss of some of that money. I'm looking for opinions... anyone?

I can't really speak on this confidently and give you a direct answer but I feel like most schools only accept Psych Stats and Intro to Stats. All other stats classes haven't been accepted from past experience. This is just based upon previous experience so someone else may know something I do not. I hope this helps.
Yeah I don't know what the whole specific browser thing is all about. I honestly think they lady I talked with screwed up my account because I had one transcript still pending and it wasn't on there until after I called her. Also, for all the individuals still taking prerequisites you will see your transcripts on your account until they receive the final transcript with the grades for the classes you are currently enrolled.
Good luck to all of us applying to the program! I'm new to this website, here are my stats:
Science GPA:4.0
Overall: Not certain since I have transcripts from two schools and am not sure how to calculate, but I believe it is around 3.1. I blame this on my first years of undergrad...
HESI
Vocabulary: 94
Reading Comprehension: 96
Grammar: 96
A&P: 96
Math: 100
I had to personally take one of my transcripts today. I sent it electronically but it was not received, I am not sure if I sent it incorrectly.
sorry, I am new to this website, but did reply to your question.. Wasn't sure if you received a response as the post is long. The same thing happened to me and I emailed them, this is what they responded:I'm not sure if anyone else has submitted their application for UTH Pacesetter BSN yet but does anyone know if there is a way to go back and edit it? I have already submitted the application but I forgot to add another entry to my "Work" section.
"Any information that was omitted in your application should be emailed to our office at [email protected]. The information regarding your place of employment you provided in your email will be added to your file."
No, I took my transcript to UT on Friday morning. Later that day it was not on my to do list anymore and my status was a green dot. I called them to ask if they received it since the school that showed initiated I already received a degree from, do I didn't have any courses in progress. I had sent it electronically in the beginning of August so I'm not sure why it was not initially received. Luckily I had requested a printed version as well and that is what I took.
I would say it is worth calling, but I'm honestly not sure if they are opening these days due to the storm.
Hi Y'all, I applied the first week of July and my application has said complete for all of August but I still haven't received a transcript evaluation! I was just wondering if anyone else has??Thanks!
I've applied four times and never received an evaluation. Mine also says complete. As long as it says complete ,you're good
