UT, BCM, TCU, and TWU CRNA 2019

Published

I will start the thread that will consume most of our lives in the upcoming months. I am applying to these schools in Texas and a couple in Louisiana for classes starting in 2019. I have worked in the ICU for 7 years. I have shadows several CRNAs and I am ready to get this show on the road. It will be a long journey but the end result will be well worth the struggles. I wish everyone the best with their upcoming journey with applications and interviews.

Hi, I also applied! I applied to OLOL and waiting to apply to TWU. Paperwork sent just waiting on LOR for my application to be complete. any updates?

Hey all! Good luck with TWU! I interviewed there and did not get accepted. However, if you do have an interview be prepared for clinical questions! I studied all CCRN material which I think helped a lot. Hope that advice helped and I wish you all the best! good luck!!! :)

Hi! Just submitted my application. Can't wait to see how it goes.

Hello everyone, I submitted my applications to UT, BCM, TCU, TX-WES, back in March, well TX-WES decided to switch to DNP and I had to resubmit but now they want a chemistry class

7/9/18: TCU sent an email today informing me that I will not be invited for an interview. (not the way I wanted to start this application cycle) but I'm still excited about the other schools and will be submitting applications out of state as well.

All the best to all of you.

Check out your community colleges. When I had to retake chemistry, they had an online class option, and was much cheaper than the state schools I looked at.

Sorry to hear you did not get an interview. There are plenty of colleges and I'm sure you will get interviews somewhere. Good luck! It is tough but just keep trying. I applied to UT and BCM last year and interviewed at both but did not get in. This year I broadened my horizon and applied to the closest schools to Houston where I live. I did get my email today stating I will interview for TCU in August.

I didn't like the idea of having to have a chemistry within 3 years of their start date. It doesn't even have to be organic chem like most other CRNA programs. I took organic chem spring 2016 and since TWU starts fall 2019 I will miss it by a semester. I don't want to have to take a chem class for a school I am not thrilled about attending. They told me to look into The University of Phenoix but their General chem is like $1700 for 1 class. It is like $300 from community college but ours in town for the summer is not online

@jmascorro,

all the best with your interview @TCU, I was there in March and toured the campus. The office staff were super nice.

Ut question

Can anyone who gets an interview invite with ut Houston let us know?

Ill do the same

Seems like no one has started a thread just for it

Thanks and good luck

UT last year was in late July when they sent out invitations to interview. Last year the interviews were also in late September but the email I received the other day said they will be September 10-14

Received an email from Baylor for not making it to the interview.

So hoping we should be hearing from UT Houston soon as well.

Thanks.
