Sorry this was a late post. I didn't see anyone else's comments until I pushed send. Congrats to all who have heard and got invited. Everyone check your email. I received an invite for UT for September 12th which is actually my birthday. What a birthday present. Wish they could just offer me a position on the spot for a birthday present. ������ wishful thinking!

I am not here to persuad or influence anyone one way or the other but I was going to apply to OLOL and spoke with several CRNAs at my hospital and decided against it. All of their stories were from years ago so maybe it has changed but one CRNA in particular told me to make them my last resort if any. He had worked there for a while and said that they have a bad rap of not producing CRNAs that are competent after graduation. Two other CRNAs went to TCU and chose OLOL for a clinical site so they could be closer to home. They knew they would get the site because evidently no one ever wanted to go their for clinicals. They both had some interesting clinical experience stories which in hind sight sound hilarious but I'm sure it was terrifying going through it. All of this being said if you get in you come out with the same degree and can make the same money and work at the same hospitals as anyone else. If you look on their website they have good testing scores/passer ratings so I'm sure it can not be that bad. I live in Houston and didn't really want to move away so it made it a little easier not to apply to one less school in Louisiana. I have applied to LSU though.

My Stats are not fantastic but I guess good enough. I have like a 3.5 gpa (bs degree x2), gre 310, 7 years ICU

Sorry to hear that some did not get an interview with BCM. I got the invite for an interview August 25th. Hope we hear good news for UT in the upcoming week.

UT last year was in late July when they sent out invitations to interview. Last year the interviews were also in late September but the email I received the other day said they will be September 10-14

Congrats to everyone who got an interview and I'm sorry to hear about those who did not(keep up the hard word). I am way late to this thread! I had started a thread that kinda covers for people applying to all the schools in Texas. I also applied to some schools in Louisiana. I live in Houston and had applied to BCM and UT last year. I had interviews for each and was denied by both. I broadened my horizon this year. I did get and interview this year for TCU on August 28th at 11am.

Sorry to hear you did not get an interview. There are plenty of colleges and I'm sure you will get interviews somewhere. Good luck! It is tough but just keep trying. I applied to UT and BCM last year and interviewed at both but did not get in. This year I broadened my horizon and applied to the closest schools to Houston where I live. I did get my email today stating I will interview for TCU in August. I didn't like the idea of having to have a chemistry within 3 years of their start date. It doesn't even have to be organic chem like most other CRNA programs. I took organic chem spring 2016 and since TWU starts fall 2019 I will miss it by a semester. I don't want to have to take a chem class for a school I am not thrilled about attending. They told me to look into The University of Phenoix but their General chem is like $1700 for 1 class. It is like $300 from community college but ours in town for the summer is not online

I will start the thread that will consume most of our lives in the upcoming months. I am applying to these schools in Texas and a couple in Louisiana for classes starting in 2019. I have worked in the ICU for 7 years. I have shadows several CRNAs and I am ready to get this show on the road. It will be a long journey but the end result will be well worth the struggles. I wish everyone the best with their upcoming journey with applications and interviews. JM

Night and day between UT and Baylor. I felt more intimidated with UT even though the process is short and sweet. Sitting front and center was more nerve racking for me because I don't like "public speaking" and I felt like I was on stage giving a speech. I felt the interview went well but at both school I had questions that stumped me. Baylor had a mix between clinical, personal, and off the wall questions. UT I got a couple personal questions and mostly clinical but I couldn't believe how short it was and then your done. I was left feeling like I needed more time to show them what I know and why it should be me they choose. Now we just wait and see.

Just got my "didn't make the cut" email. Congrats to everyone who received a spot. Still hoping and praying for UT.

Just got an email saying everything is still going according to plan. They stated to watch your email closely in the case that something changes.

Congrats to everyone who received invitations. I'm sorry to hear for the ones who did not. I will be interviewing with Baylor on August 25th and UT on September 25th. My name is Josh and I hope to see some of y'all around at the interview process and hopefully in classes next year. Good luck to everyone. I think I am in the first batch of people interviewing so I will try immediately after my interview to give any heads up that I can. For those who received Baylor invites are y'all going to attend the social gathering that evening? It looks like it is also for the SRNA student and I think it might be a good opportunity to pick some brains.
