Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone! I did not see a post for applicants for Ut Austin's Alternate Entry MSN program for 2020, so I started one! I know the application just opened a few days ago but with all everyone balances, I figure why not start now? I am applying for their PMNHP specialty.

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if there will be any formalities which has to be done in person after the admission decision come. Or, is it required to be in the country until May 2020? I'm planning to go to visit my family which is out of country. I'm just checking if it will be okay to go out of state or country for few months. Please share if anyone have any experience or information about it. Thank you.

I'm not sure? I know if you are accepted, specific hard copies of documents will be required to submit; such as an official transcript, the background check/fingerprinting information. It might all be required by mail or can be dropped of in person. There is a 2019 UT AE-MSN forum on here, I am sure someone who is in the program now can answer confidently for you! ?

Hey everyone. Does anyone know if you retook one of the prerequisites in college and received a higher grade if they use the old grade or the new one. The reason I ask is the first time I took one of our required labs I got a C but upon retaking it I got an A.

They always acknowledge the higher grade!

My interview was for the LeaDs program and I think, it went well. I'm not sure if they are satisfied with my response or if I did as per their expectations. So, I am very much bothered about the final decision. I have my last prerequisite in progress which might be finishing up by next month. I am concerned if that might affect my application.

I am totally with you about worrying about the interview. It can be so easy to second guess everything you said/did not get to say. I have replayed it in my head so many times. Luckily, my interviewers gave me a lot of positive feedback and then took the time to really break down the details of the program. It wasn't nearly as intimidating as I had expected. I felt really good in the moment, but of course, I am worried now because it is such a long wait for the decision. We are so close to knowing (finally)! Only a couple more weeks! Best of luck to everyone.

Ahhh did y'all see in the email Tracy sent today that the final admission decisions are set to take place this Friday (January 17th). Do you think we will be notified on Friday or probably just the week after?

The anticipation is killing me!!!!!

I would expect to hear late next week, they will make decisions on Friday however I am sure there are systematic things they need to do before actually sending out approvals.

Probably not, just that the committee is meeting tomorrow. So we will probably hear next week.
