I just got an e-mail letting me know I was accepted for LeaDS!! I am so relieved and excited!!

Okay, maybe I am confused, but I thought that anyone deferred to LeaDS was notified early on and was given the chance to submit an SOP and have an interview. Can you get an offer for LeaDS if you did not interview or do another SOP? At this point, I was under the impression that everyone was pretty much locked into their specialty and if they decided to defer to LeaDS, that decision had to be made a while back. Did I misunderstand?

I am totally with you about worrying about the interview. It can be so easy to second guess everything you said/did not get to say. I have replayed it in my head so many times. Luckily, my interviewers gave me a lot of positive feedback and then took the time to really break down the details of the program. It wasn't nearly as intimidating as I had expected. I felt really good in the moment, but of course, I am worried now because it is such a long wait for the decision. We are so close to knowing (finally)! Only a couple more weeks! Best of luck to everyone.

@Ninathenurse I don't know about CNS specifically, but I assume that this information I gathered is applicable to all areas of Masters prepared nurses. In my LeaDS interview, I was informed that there is such a shortage of Masters prepared nurses in the field and with the overwhelming growth and changes in health care, getting a job should be no problem. I don't know about specific areas of focus, I just know based on my research and my interviewer's confirmation that this degree will be very valuable and lucrative. She told me about a recent grad who was immediately hired in a top-level leadership role immediately after graduating. She said that this is become more common due to the shortage of Masters prepared nurses. I hope this helps and best of luck to you

@KB417 I didn't and I don't think you have to. In Tracy's e-mail, I think she said that there is no need to fill out an updated prerequisite form. I just uploaded my most recent transcript and did not submit a new form.

Thank you so much! I wrote a lot of questions down to bring in with me so I have them just in case there is time at the end. The nerves are setting in now. Thanks for all the tips! Good luck to you and everyone else! I know I will be glad after today to know the application process is officially over. Then we wait.....

Hey everyone, I did my background check on Monday and the good news is that it took less than 5 minutes. It was odd to complete the background check before the interview, but I think I am interviewing very late compared to most. My interview is tomorrow on campus at 11:30 (interviewing for LeaDS). I was wondering if anyone who has interviewed thus fas has had a chance to ask the professors questions? I have a few questions prepared, but I wanted to know if I would actually get a chance to ask them since I know 30 minutes can go quickly. The nerves are starting to kick in, that's for sure. Thank you so much to everyone who has shared their experiences thus far. What a great group we have here!

I got my interview request today, too!!! I am so excited and relieved! Congratulations to you, as well! I am interviewing on the 19th. I am sure they have interviewed so many talented and qualified applicants (I know there are so many on this forum)! I am hoping I can control my nerves and not be a wreck! LOL

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that I bit the bullet and e-mailed Tracy asking what the protocol is as far as rejections/interview invites. I know she said not to, I was just getting overrun with anxiety and decided I wanted to reach out and ask even if I made her mad. LOL. I am so glad I did. She let me know that the way the interviews are organized is by the committee giving a list of interviewees to the professors conducting the interviews and giving them a deadline. Therefore, they conduct the interviews based on their schedules and as long as they are completed by the deadline, then any timeline is fine. She told me that there are some professors that have not reached out yet and that not hearing anything does not mean you did not get an interview, even though many people from your chosen specialty have already gotten requests/completed interviews. It simply means that your interview request is coming later. I hope this helps give you some peace of mind. Congratulations to those who have interviewed and those who have scheduled interviews! For those of you who haven't heard back yet, keep the faith! Your invite is coming!
