UT Austin Alternate Entry 2020

Hey everyone! I did not see a post for applicants for Ut Austin's Alternate Entry MSN program for 2020, so I started one! I know the application just opened a few days ago but with all everyone balances, I figure why not start now? I am applying for their PMNHP specialty.

@Psych99143 I got an acceptance email for PMHNP 20 minutes ago but I was waitlisted back in December and interviewed for LeaDS so not sure what they actually meant to send me.

I can't speak for everyone else, but my status still says "In Review"

Does anyone know how they typically send out admissions decisions? Do most people hear back on the same day or are timelines different depending on which program you applied to?

Last year and the previous year, it all varied for the concentrations, it wasn’t all on the same day.

I think Leads will be the last to hear. The other (more selective) programs have waitlists so they’re probably trying to figure out who is going to accept and who won’t, do they know whether to offer someone on the waitlist a Leads position or the one they were originally interested in (assuming they accepted the offer to also be considered for Leads).

Congrats to those who have been accepted! I’m sure you’re beyond excited, as you should be! I am curious if y’all were given a time frame for accepting the offer or not. My theory has no basis if you don’t have a respond by date in the near future.

Hi everyone,

im expecting we will hear about Leads next week. I believe we are the last ones to hear back, but the wait is killing me and everyday that goes by makes me feel less and less confident about my interview! Ah! Good luck to everyone!
