UT Austin Alternate Entry 2020

Hey everyone! I did not see a post for applicants for Ut Austin's Alternate Entry MSN program for 2020, so I started one! I know the application just opened a few days ago but with all everyone balances, I figure why not start now? I am applying for their PMNHP specialty.

Specializes in Psychology.

Does UT send out rejections too or if you don’t hear back by next week do you assume you weren’t accepted??

I read on the UT AE-MSN page that rejections will be sent, too.

For those of you who heard from CNS was it Tracy or the University that sent the email? I know on an earlier thread someone commented that Tracy doesn’t work on Fridays so most likely if she’s sending them out LEADS won’t find out until next week.

Congrats to those who have been accepted! I’m sure you’re beyond excited, as you should be! I am curious if y’all were given a time frame for accepting the offer or not. My theory has no basis if you don’t have a respond by date in the near future.

Okay, maybe I am confused, but I thought that anyone deferred to LeaDS was notified early on and was given the chance to submit an SOP and have an interview. Can you get an offer for LeaDS if you did not interview or do another SOP? At this point, I was under the impression that everyone was pretty much locked into their specialty and if they decided to defer to LeaDS, that decision had to be made a while back. Did I misunderstand?

That’s exactly what I thought... I didn’t think someone could make it into a program they never wrote a SOP or interviewed for.

I just got an e-mail letting me know I was accepted for LeaDS!! I am so relieved and excited!!
