USF Upper Division Fall 2011

Has anyone who is attending the upper division Fall BSN program been registered yet? I attended the general orientation last week and they said they would register us, but so far I don't see anything...

Hey guys,

I know I am a little late (just joined this site a few days ago), BUT I, TOO, GOT ACCEPTED INTO FALL 2011 UPPER DIVISION!!!! WOOHOO!!

Congrats to all!!!!! :yeah:

Good God waiting for that email was torture....I'm still waiting for my actual "mailed" congrats letter :confused: lol.... I'm guessing they don't do that...

Anyone else anxiously awaiting orientation on the 28th?!!! Anyone else's arm still hurt from the tetorifice shot? Lol .... seriously though

hmm, I don't think there is place to register...I think being accepted was the registration & completing the long list of things is what saves us a seat in orientation. like the background check, intent to enroll form, etc.

I'm pretty sure they don't send out formal letters unfortunately... But! As far as the registration goes, I was trying to get registered for a study abroad trip in the winter and there was a hold on my account, so I called the CON and apparently they were still waiting on some last-minute acceptances and whatnot, and they were waiting for all of that to get squared away before "drawing" the new class into their system. They said by the middle of this week we should be good to go so maybe it's good now.

Does any of the current ABSN/Upper division students or new Fall 2011 students have any information on health insurance. I don't have any health insurance as at present and was counting on getting one when the school resumes. Called the school insurance and was told that the open enrollment is going to be sometimes in Aug; but the health forms specifies that we have to bring to match-day(July 28th).

Hey everyone! I'm a little late in getting in on this thread, but I too got accepted into the nursing program at USF for Fall 2011!!! So excited! Man, waiting for that letter was torturous I am very excited for match day, and also to meet you all since I'm sure we will be spending a lot of time together and going insane studying for our classes Does anyone know where they will be living? I went up last week and signed a lease at 4050 lofts. Seems like a really nice place, but I'm kind of worried about the noise level. Anyone else signed there? Also, when I talked to the adviser, she said that they register us for our classes so I'm not sure when they're going to do that...I'm guessing either during the match days or after. I personally don't even go to the general orientation until Aug. 3.

Hello welcome!! I have not heard of that place before. Unfortunately/fortunately I will be living @ home still (45 mins away ). Where r you moving from? have you finished ur big long list of things to do ? I just finished my CPR class this morning :clown:

Ah, that is a long drive, but atleast you won't have the ridiculous rent fee that I have :/ I'm moving from Jupiter! It's in Palm Beach County. I really love it here so I'm definitely going to miss my home. I'm still very excited, though! My move in date is Aug 14 so I'll be there for about a week before classes even start. And yes! I have finished the long list of things to do. I already had my CPR license for my job, but the shots and everything else took awhile to get organized. I'm going up the day before match day to get my USF ID and then the parking permit for my car. Can't wait to meet you all!

WHOOO HOO!!!! Congratulations to all who got accepted! :anpom::anpom: I got accepted too! Finished my long list of things..waiting for orientation...im really excited about it (and nervous lol) . I completed my CPR class last week..but Im confused about something,they said to have the certification by the 28th,well how are they going to know who has it? Will they check? or do we fax them a copy of our certification? (Sorry for so many questions,I just want to have everything ready and under control before orientation lol :)

oh and for the health form it's just the health form with the signatures...no attachments like copy of immunization forms ,right?

I'm so ready for orientation so I can go out and buy scrubs, shoes, stethoscope, books, etc. etc !!!!!!! :lol2:

As far as the CPR certification, I wouldn't go through the trouble of faxing it, I would simply just bring a copy of the card with you to orientation just in case they need it... (that's what I plan to do)

& with the health form just make sure you have your doctor fill out the "provider's" section with their license info and signature. When I went to my family doctor, she also put her initials & the date I recieved each shot by each immuization line !

Thank you so much for clarifying that for me!!!!!! Yes ,that's what I'll do,just in case they need it..I am too so ready to buy scrubs and everything else..i don't know about you but I'll feel so great the first time I wear a scrub lol.

We get matched up with hospitals on thursday! Im excited :w00t:..I hope I get matched up with the one I want...(Morton Plant Mease),but we'll see!!! Thanks again!!!!!! :)
