I thought we could use a thread for the USF Fall 2011 Upper Division applicants :]

Got this email few days ago:

Thank you for your application to the Fall 2011 Upper Division program. We have reviewed your application and have determined that your pre-requisite courses are met and that your GPA meets the minimum to be considered. Therefore, we have changed your application status and have moved your name to the eligible applicant list. The final list will be reviewed and applicants will be chosen after the June 15 deadline, so you can expect a final acceptance or denial decision in SOAR and by email 3-4 weeks after the deadline (mid July). Please remember: if you took classes outside USF, it is your responsibility to send transcripts showing those grades to undergraduate admissions so they can be calculated into the GPA no later than the deadline. Thank you.

Now comes the hard part.....waiting! :uhoh3:

Received the same message on 16th. I guess all we have to do now is hope they respond soon.

I know acceptance notification were sent out around 22nd -29th for last year fall admission.

Just hope.

Wow! thats really quick for the amount of applications they recieve. Do you know if last year's fall class had the same deadline as this year's. Makes me worry if they are actually going to read my Personal statement or skim right through it.

Hi all! I also applied to USF fall 2011 upper division. We should be getting the emails any day now! Can't wait to hear! :)

Congrats on getting in!!! :DI think they are still being transmitted because it still says committee for me :/ wonder if that's a good thing?

I got the email sent to my personal email address at 1249 pm today. Not sure if they sent them all out or if I just got lucky and was one of the first to be notified. There was an hyperlink with all kinds of stuff that needs to be done before the 12th and 28th of this month so hopefully you hear back soon so you can get started on all of it. I was told that if I do not respond by the 12th with my intent to enroll then my spot would be forfeited, so you will definitely know before then :)

I don't know if this will ease your mind at all about getting in but I had an overall GPA of 3.8 and a 4.0 on pre-reqs, so if yours was better than that, then you should be good. I heard they put a big emphasis on the personal statement as well so if your grades are lower, then that can really help out. Good Luck

I got my email today at 12:28 pm, so it must not be a mass email system. Sounds like a good thing for anyone still waiting for a reply! :)
