  2. alexis, Which alexis cornwell are you on fb? i tried looking for you but theres too many lol u could always give us ur URL :)
  3. Thank you Notgivingup! you are so kind :) !! you sure racked up a bunch of good karma with this studyguide lol
  4. I'm thinking at orientation They pick our class schedule, right? If they pick our classes, will we need to even register? ..... So will everyone in the upper division have the same exact schedule as each other? aww It's like elementary school again lol we see the same students from class to class & even go to lunch together ! Hope Nursing school is just as easy
  5. Notgivingup1- I must jump on the wagon as well & would LOVE it if you could send me your studyguide. Please .... I will be taking pharm within the next couple of months and I'm not sure what to expect:grn: THANK YOU
  6. I heard the scrubs are going to have to be white on white :smackingf.... I was hoping for a usf color, like hunter green perhaps? Lol why white? I dirty clothes that are black, let alone white! But, I talked to a woman in the USF Nursing Bookstore and she mentioned they may be changing the scrub guidelines this year!!! :yeah:Fingers crossed !!! The hospital I am rooting for is St. Joesph's main hospital & my second would probably be Mease !!! :)
  7. YAY !! congrats to you as well! :redpinkhe I'm so ready for orientation so I can go out and buy scrubs, shoes, stethoscope, books, etc. etc !!!!!!! As far as the CPR certification, I wouldn't go through the trouble of faxing it, I would simply just bring a copy of the card with you to orientation just in case they need it... (that's what I plan to do) & with the health form just make sure you have your doctor fill out the "provider's" section with their license info and signature. When I went to my family doctor, she also put her initials & the date I recieved each shot by each immuization line ! :) hope that helps.
  8. Hello welcome!! I have not heard of that place before. Unfortunately/fortunately I will be living @ home still (45 mins away ). Where r you moving from? have you finished ur big long list of things to do ? I just finished my CPR class this morning
  9. Oh, P.S. in the mean time work on becoming a C.N.A ... you'll be able to get lots of work experience before the nursing program starts!! I SO WISH I had done that at the beginning of my pre-reqs! You could even move on up to PCT or something ! If I could go back in time, oh the things I'd do:icon_roll...
  10. you just graduated highschool a year ago, your on the right track, a year or so away really isn't that far. What will you be like 21, 22 when you enter the nursing program??! That is perfectly FINE! I know people who are 28, 45, 50 years old just now going back to school for nursing because they changed their mind on career paths. Atleast you know from the very beginning this is what you want to do & you will get there much sooner than you think :). My Boyfriend's mom is pushing 50 years old, she is enrolled in a LPN class, will graduate in november than start the actual RN part..... you are so young and on the right path, do not get discouraged  You are actually quite fortunate!!!!
  11. hmm, I don't think there is place to register...I think being accepted was the registration & completing the long list of things is what saves us a seat in orientation. like the background check, intent to enroll form, etc.
  12. Hey guys, I know I am a little late (just joined this site a few days ago), BUT I, TOO, GOT ACCEPTED INTO FALL 2011 UPPER DIVISION!!!! WOOHOO!! Congrats to all!!!!! Good God waiting for that email was torture....I'm still waiting for my actual "mailed" congrats letter lol.... I'm guessing they don't do that... Anyone else anxiously awaiting orientation on the 28th?!!! Anyone else's arm still hurt from the tetorifice shot? Lol .... seriously though -Brittany :redpinkhe
  13. what type of tech can you get hired as? patient care tech?
  14. I've heard of the PRN before, thank you! But what exactly does "PRN" mean?
  15. gotcha. I was just curious to see if it was even worth investing the time into. I can't seem to find any good scholarships, of course prob b/c I'm in between the scholarship deadlines :anbd:
