USF spring 2011 BSN

Published

Hey all.

Just thought I would start a thread for USF nursing program-BSN for spring 2011 to see when people start hearing back and what not! Wishing everyone luck!:)

I have not tried the ID express thing yet I will tomorrow and will let you know how it goes. I ended up getting a dorm for this semster in loyola village. I did the apartment triple I'm not sure if that means I will have 2 other roommates.

The classes I have signed up for are communications and culture, nursing 120, ethics, RHET 250, THRS 202 and classical mythology which I'm on a waitlist for.

Did everyone do ID express?

I did mine last night

first impressions of the school/faculty/environment?

I liked it. The campus is beautiful, and I liked how we had a separate nursing orientation.

I really liked the teachers and I am excited to get to know them because it seems like they want to form really good one on one relationships. (They are all like geniuses too, they are almost all D.N.P.'s it seems...CRAZY) It seems like a really amazing program and that they want to challenge you but make you succeed at the same time. I approve haha

How about everyone elsE?

the school is amazing, and so are the faculty and staff. I met so many people i'm sooooo excited to start! i'm still bummed about the 8 semesters though =\

I wasn't able to attend the orientation, did I miss anything important? -thanks

Hello all,

I know this is a old post but I just got into USF for spring 2012 with clinicals starting Spring 2013. I have some questions for those who are already there. Mine says its an 8 semester program but I am a transfer? perquisites are done but I have like 4 GE's left.

What did you guys do about financial aid as well?

Thank you!

@Avill....

It's true. It'll be 8 semesters. And no summer courses are offered. I was a transfer student and only took the USF required classes that you have to take at the campus (theology, philosophy, ethics). There's also two nursing classes that are 1 unit each which are required before moving onto clinicals. USF is the only school that I know which has three years of clinicals vs two yrs. for other places. It sucks to have to add on another four years of school before you're done with nursing school.

Hey I couldn't reply to you for some reason. But okay, thank you. I'm stuck because I'm excited but It's so expensive! And I kind of want to wait on the CSU's.

Do you know if you could transfer out of there to another school when you are in the program by any chance? and what did you do about financial aid?
