USF nursing School Fall 2017 Potential Students

Published

Hi! I've seen other threads like this one. Pretty much it is just a support thread of anyone who is applying to the University of South Florida's Fall 2017 nursing class. There are threads for about every other year except 2017, so I am starting it. If there is anyone else who just wants to talk to someone going through the process like me, feel free to reply to this discussion.

Good luck to anyone applying to nursing school this semester. I understand first hand how nerve racking it can be!

WOW. Vnick, I'm so incredibly sorry. I thought from reading your post you had an incredible shot at making the interview. So they outright denied you the chance? That's really a shame to hear considering you sound very studious. Have you applied any place else? I'm sure UCF or UWF would gladly accept someone of your caliber.

I'm still waiting to hear whether or not I made the cut for the interview, and I'm super nervous.

No unfortunately I wanted to save money and I didn't apply anywhere else because of my gpa I really felt I had a chance of at least getting an interview. Which I'm really regretting now. I'm trying to figure out my options now but no matter what I'm going to nursing school, even if it isn't right now

Aww I'm sorry. I'm really surprised that you didn't get an interview. You're gpa is really good. There's alway cycle 2 :)

Yes you are right ! Fingers crossed for the second cycle

Actually the VCARE applicants are not guaranteed the interview and go through the same process as everyone else but only compete with other veterans.

I'm so anxious that I still haven't heard whether or not I made the cut, why could it be taking so long??

SCREW A GOAT I got denied too. ACK. I am pissed.

Cycle II. I will be there. They must've been highly selective this year. I hope anyone that didn't make the cut doesn't give up hope just yet. We're still in the running!

If you don't mind me asking, what was your gpa?

Perfect prerequisite GPA. 4.0. Cumulative GPA was lower at 3.625 because I changed my major and was struck by a car in the same semester c: Built myself up as much as possible. Got straight A's all last year. Christ. Even my best wasn't good enough.

Don't give up guys!! There's this girl in my class who got in her third time so just keep applying :) and eventually things will fall into place!
