USF nursing School Fall 2017 Potential Students

Hi! I've seen other threads like this one. Pretty much it is just a support thread of anyone who is applying to the University of South Florida's Fall 2017 nursing class. There are threads for about every other year except 2017, so I am starting it. If there is anyone else who just wants to talk to someone going through the process like me, feel free to reply to this discussion.

Good luck to anyone applying to nursing school this semester. I understand first hand how nerve racking it can be!

What is your gpa? If you don't mind me asking

Right now I have a 3.8 pre req and a 3.87 overall GPA. I finished all my pre reqs though

I do go to USF and I honestly can't see myself going somewhere else because I fell in love with this school's education system and professors and I have heard such great things about the program.

How far are your clinical by the way?

Yeah i think you'll be fine! I heard they are supposed to be accepting 80-100 just for upper division alone which is really good! I'm currently in my third semester and at clinicals we are in the ER and ICU.

My clinical is in Lakeland. I was so mad cuz I wanted somewhere closer but oh well. Some people have it worse because they have to drive to Sarasota 1-2 a week

Hi! @blueberries17 I know exactly how you feel. And wow I seriously can't wait to be in your position at @dogunrinde it is really exciting but nerve racking at the same time and my emotions are all over the place right now.

Yeah Lakeland isn't so bad, honestly I'm at the point where I don't even mind driving far because I would be too happy that I even got in lol

Hi everyone!

Quick question... Is the soar application a simple application? I'm applying to the first cycle and the deadline is tomorrow at 5pm. I have the soar application completed but it was super quick and easy. Is this too good to be true? Or is it really just a basic application? I'm currently a USF pre-nursing student. Do they automatically have access to our GPA's and transcripts?
