USF nursing School Fall 2017 Potential Students

Hi! I've seen other threads like this one. Pretty much it is just a support thread of anyone who is applying to the University of South Florida's Fall 2017 nursing class. There are threads for about every other year except 2017, so I am starting it. If there is anyone else who just wants to talk to someone going through the process like me, feel free to reply to this discussion.

Good luck to anyone applying to nursing school this semester. I understand first hand how nerve racking it can be!

No, I do not. I'm applying as a transfer from Palm Beach State College :) Are you a USF student?

Yes I am! And I don't really think there's too much of a difference from the two cycles but maybe there will be more people applying to the second because by then everyone will have their prereqs done. I just applied to cycle 1

Yeah, that makes sense. Do USF students get priority over transfers?

No, I don't think so. I know that if you get in interview, all they know is your name.

My class has quite a bit of transfer students so it doesn't matter if you attend USF or come from another school :)

Hi! How long did it take you guys to get a response after your deadline?

My deadline was March 4th and I got the email for the interview over spring break. So you guys should be getting emails from the week of March 11-18. Probably around that Wednesday/Thurdsay. Interviews start on March 20th I believe

Wow that's great that they respond fast. How long was it until you got the confirmation that you were in the program?

Well when I did it, they had interviews from Monday-Wednesday. And we all got our responses by Friday. I interviewed on Monday. Most nerve wracking week of my life í ½í¸…

Yeah that's so intense! honestly I can't wait to find out if I will even get an interview. It sucks being in that time period where you don't know if your hard work/sacrifices were good enough
