USF nursing School Fall 2017 Potential Students

Published

Hi! I've seen other threads like this one. Pretty much it is just a support thread of anyone who is applying to the University of South Florida's Fall 2017 nursing class. There are threads for about every other year except 2017, so I am starting it. If there is anyone else who just wants to talk to someone going through the process like me, feel free to reply to this discussion.

Good luck to anyone applying to nursing school this semester. I understand first hand how nerve racking it can be!

Yeah the applicstion is really quick

Hi! I applied first cycle to the upper division program, and I'm a transfer from FSU. I need advice for prepping for the interview please!! I'm so nervous! Also, I called the front desk in the college of Nursing yesterday and she told me that they're hoping to get the interview emails sent out tomorrow (Wednesday 03/08) but that it could be as a late as next Friday (03/17) and that interviews are the 20-22.

My GPA isn't as great as you guys (only a 3.67 overall, and about the same pre-req) but I'm hoping to still get a shot at an interview, so fingers crossed!

Hi! And honestly I feel like just practicing questions best for preparing for interviews ! I'm planning on just googling common interview questions and practicing my answers. I think they ask you 5 questions on the interview one of them being of course why you want to be a nurse

And wow as late as next Friday! That is nerve racking

That's what I've been thinking of doing! I think I'm also going to try actually answering the practice questions out loud. I've also heard that the interviewers aren't allowed to ask follow-up questions so your first answer has to be all inclusive

Yes that is true !

Just got my interview notification!

Hi I haven't gotten any word at all, do you mind if I ask you your gpa?

I know some people that got emails just now

I haven't heard anything yet, but does anyone know if they send rejection emails at the same time as the interview offers???

No, I only know of people who are in CARE that got emails so I mean they may just have sent those out first because they didn't require any looking over (considering they're guaranteed the interview)
