Hello everyone! I am currently waitlisted in the spring 2017 cohort starting in Jan for the USF MSN-CNL non-nurse cohort 23, but I wanted to start a thread for those of you applying to the summer 2017 semester because if I don't get off the waitlist I will be reapplying for summer, and if I do get off the waitlist I can help you all with info on how the process works and what to expect. Either way, since I am going through it right now, I hope to be able to help new applicants. This time can be very stressful. Who all out there is applying?
I do think that calls could possibly happen this Friday. That would follow suit with exactly what happened last semester. I think the 8 week mark was on a Saturday and the calls happened that Friday. I'm sure every semester their process is a bit different based on how many applicants they receive, but good chance that it could happen Friday!!! For me, waitlist was worst case senario because it left me waiting for months only to have to reapply. Looking back I wish I would have just been rejected so I could spend the next 3 months working on my application and just have closure as opposed to wishful thinking and uncertainty haha. I have confidence in you guys that you'll make it in!!!! So exciting that we could hear this week!
I think I would be in the same boat. I plan on waiting until 2 weeks before my program starts to quit my job. I can't wait for 3 months for USF to get back to me on whether or not I'm in. I think I would have to either decide to do SMU or hold out for State or JHU, which start in the fall.

For summer term do College of San Mateo (or skyline, I can't remember which but it's offered at one of the three JCs in the San Mateo community college system and is on the approved list.
