USF MSN-CNL non-nurse summer 2017

Published

Hello everyone! I am currently waitlisted in the spring 2017 cohort starting in Jan for the USF MSN-CNL non-nurse cohort 23, but I wanted to start a thread for those of you applying to the summer 2017 semester because if I don't get off the waitlist I will be reapplying for summer, and if I do get off the waitlist I can help you all with info on how the process works and what to expect. Either way, since I am going through it right now, I hope to be able to help new applicants. This time can be very stressful. Who all out there is applying?

Everyone's thought on tuition was helpful. Perhaps, the case is different for everyone because I, too, am through Navient (partially through Wells Fargo), and I've only had minor issues, but things seem to be working out a-ok. Though, Navient is ok, I still want to weigh my options and determine which would be a good fit for me. @gabriel, I take it you'll continue with Fedloan Servicing? How about the rest of you?

yeah...i'm going to stick with Fedloan as my loan servicer. if i'm stuck with a different servicer automatically, then i'll just consolidate when i'm done. between me and my wife, we've probably dealt with 5 or 6 servicers - interestingly never navient. ECSI was the most annoying for both of us. i really find having to physically mail anything a huge inconvenience and hassle.

I've been waitlisted for Samuel Merritt's ABSN. #4 out of 41. Atleast I might still have a backup if I don't get into USF.

yeah...#4's not bad. congratulations. glad they let you know your number...that takes a bit of the edge off. :p

Thanks. It definitely takes the edge off...for now. If I don't get an invitation to enroll at USF and I end up getting accepted to Merritt then I'm faced with the possible decision of to decline or not to hold out for SF State and Johns Hokpins.

I think a lot of people apply to absn and ELMSN at SMU and some choose the MSN so I have a good feeling about you getting off waitlist :)

Could be hearing next week guys!!! Hope you all are keeping busy :) I'm starting to get super curious about the decision as well lol

@aposs someone who got into the ELMSN program with me also got into absn and is choosing ELMSN so there is one! I'm sure there are more :)

I'm kind of kicking myself for not applying to Merritt's ELMSN program. I just wasn't 100% sure case management was the track I wanted to take.

Don't worry about it! They def make sure CM is exactly what you want when they interview you. I do plan to go back to become a nurse practitioner but I first want to work as an RN for at least 5 years. Which campus are you waitlisted at? If it's Oakland we may see each other on campus!!!
