Hello everyone! I am currently waitlisted in the spring 2017 cohort starting in Jan for the USF MSN-CNL non-nurse cohort 23, but I wanted to start a thread for those of you applying to the summer 2017 semester because if I don't get off the waitlist I will be reapplying for summer, and if I do get off the waitlist I can help you all with info on how the process works and what to expect. Either way, since I am going through it right now, I hope to be able to help new applicants. This time can be very stressful. Who all out there is applying?
yeah...gene-therapy, chromosome therapy, robotics, 3d organ printing, nanotech, a.i., the list goes on. medicine and health care are at the forefront of technological advancement and real moral/ethical issues that directly impact life and death. nursing is the frontline of implementation. it's exciting. the future is exciting.
So here is a recap so you guys can know what to expect. The night before the bulk of the rejection emails/acceptances calls people's status was changing online. Those who had a status change but no decision letter online got an acceptance call. Those who got a status change the night before and who got denied received the email to check their status promptly at 8am the day of the calls. I do recall a few rejections that Wednesday/Thursday during that week too (with all the calls going out on a Friday). At that point, the only people who hadn't heard anything or had a status change on their account were given waitlist notification in the mail which was dated for the Friday of the acceptance calls. At that point, everyone on our forum had received notification of their status. I hope this helps you guys know what to expect. Check your spam mail, apparently a lot of the emails went in there.
My trip was excellent; thanks for asking @aposse. Majority of the time, i didn't think about USF. However, that unsettling feeling I left behind came rushing back to mind when I landed back home . Just glad we're nearing the finish line. I remember looking back from previous posts that they call on Thursday/Friday of the 8th week.

This is one of the many reasons I want to get into nursing - the opportunity to expand my career in so many directions. I definitely plan on working toward earning my DNP at some point very shortly after earning a MSN (maybe 5 years later). I can only imagine what will be available to us, career-wise, in 10 to 15 years. And it's very exciting!
