USF ABSN Fall 2021 St. Pete

Wanted to start a forum for anyone applying to the USF ABSN at the St. Pete campus for Fall!

I wanted to apply to the Tampa main campus but the turnaround time is super quick and starting in May seems a bit hectic for me so I decided to apply to St. Pete for the fall start date. I am super excited ? I graduated from USF with a bachelors in 2020 so I know its an amazing school and the campus is a dreaaammm

Hi! I’m so glad someone made a thread. I’m also applying to the program. I was accepted at the college now I just have to wait for the nursing application to open. What other school are you applying to?

Hey!! I applied to UMass Amherst because I live in Massachusetts and it was my top school (I just got my acceptance) BUT the living cost is so expensive here and we miss Florida SOO much. Both my boyfriend and I think our quality of life will be better in Tampa especially with such a grueling accelerated program. Only problem is UMass gave me my decision two weeks ago for august start date and yet USF doesn’t even open until like May so that overlap is really hard to make decisions. 
I’m putting a deposit down for UMass and just losing it if I get into USF and end up going

Hi! I’ve been living Texas for a year now. It was an unexpected move and let me tell you, I really miss Florida!! I dream about it everyday haha! So I can relate to that. I’m excited and nervous, I really hope that I’ll get accepted. I’m also applying to nova southeastern Univ. , UNF and FIU

Hey guys I’m applying too! After getting denied from UCF ABSN and UNF ABSN for this Summer im really hoping on better results from USF. I’m applying to UNF to for the fall again. It’s so stressful but trying to stay positive! UCF was extremely competitive this year. In the past, USF was the most competitive but this past Summer semester it was less competitive then ucf and unf because less people applied! I wish I had applied to usf tampa ABSN as well. If you don’t mind me asking what are your scores?

Stay positive and believe in yourself!! You got this ? I got into UMass ABSN with a 2% acceptance rate so I’m really having high hopes for USF St Pete but you never know. My undergrad was from USF Tampa so I’m an alumni. My undergrad GPA is a 3.5, my pre req is a 3.9. I’ve been head lifeguard for 6 years, and a PCA for 4 years so I have medical experience under my belt as well as volunteering in hospitals! Good luck ?

You will definitely get in!! Your scores are great and you are a USF alum!! My friend git into USF ABSN for this Summer with a 3.3 overall and a 3.8 pre req! I have a 3.5 overall and 3.6 prereq. We shall see. I’m just worried since I have gotten a few rejections already.

Hey guys! I’m applying as well. I had an interview with the Tampa campus but unfortunately didn’t get in that round so hopefully second time is the charm! I had an interview with a ~3.5 cumulative and I believe a 3.8 prerequisite, and I know someone who got in with a 3.2 cumulative too so I think you guys have a great chance!

How did the interview go?? Was it long

Hey everyone. I applied and was accepted to USF so now I'm just waiting for the SOAR applications to open. I graduated from USF in 2009 with my B.A. and didn't have the best GPA then (3.1) but have gotten As on every prerequisite I've taken for the nursing program. I also applied for the ASN program at SPC. I'm nervous and just want May 10 to get here already!

It wasn't long at all! It is a tad awkward (probably why I didn't get in the first round), but if you practice common nursing interview answers you should be okay!
