USF ABSN Fall 2021 St. Pete

Wanted to start a forum for anyone applying to the USF ABSN at the St. Pete campus for Fall!

I wanted to apply to the Tampa main campus but the turnaround time is super quick and starting in May seems a bit hectic for me so I decided to apply to St. Pete for the fall start date. I am super excited ? I graduated from USF with a bachelors in 2020 so I know its an amazing school and the campus is a dreaaammm

hey all!! I applied last week. I am very nervous! I did not get into UCF's program so this is kinda my plan B. Although I am very excited St. Pete is awesome!! My stats are: Pre reqs: 3.6, overall: 3.5. It seems a little under the admission stats from last year, so fingers crossed I can make a good impression in an interview! !

We have the SAME EXACT stats. I did not get I to UCF either:( hopefullly we have better luck with USF but they don’t ask for TEAS so I’m not sure:( I feel like usually they take 3.8 prereq GPA and up

ahhh really?! yeah super sad we couldn't get into UCF. I just gotta think there is something more out there for us. It's frustrating because I have decent grades, just have 1 B and 1 C. The rest are A's

Hey everyone, I got a message on the discussion board saying I was missing a class (it was just an overlook)...

So that means they must be looking over applications already!

Hey! I applied as well and hope to get in, but I know my prereq GPA is absolutely on the lower end. I went to UF undergrad and let me tell you the prereqs there were HARD. My cumulative GPA is a 3.76 though so I’m hoping they look at it a little more holistically? I got emailed about missing coursework because of a degree works issue so if anyone else got that let me know haha. I just got accepted to nova’s ABSN program but I obviously want to hear from USF also!! My brother goes there for pharmacy school so it would be cool to be there ?

Hey, I got into Nova’s ABSN program too! I’m still waiting to hear back from USF and UNF as well though. Good luck to you!

Hi!! Regarding the interviews. Does anyone know if we will be notified that we have one via email or sent in the mail? I'm so nervous to find out!

Hello! You should have received a discussion board post on SOAR that says your application is complete and in that email it says we will receive interview invites a week after the deadline (around June 11th) and then interviews start June 21st to the 23rd. 

The advisor told me to make sure I’m free June 21st and that I’ll have two different times to choose from, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. I was a bit confused how she knows what day I’ll be on if I haven’t even gotten an invite yet but I’m just planning for that day!!

Not yet! I check my email like every hour LOL. I’m expecting it around Friday tho since they said a week after app closes
