I'm hoping to get into Shadyside in either sprig 2010 or the fall. Anyone else out there already accepted or trying as well?
101 came pretty easily to me; I put pretty minimal effort into studying for that course. There seemed to be a decent number of people who just didn't "get" the style of testing/questioning that the tests were given in that course (she tries to make them NCLEX-style)? By the way, this semester was the first that the outline of that course had changed: she did not give any quizzes and there were no points given for any of our projects (they were all pass/fail). I don't know if she will go back to the old style of grading or not because so many people failed BUT the people in my class who failed are starting this March (whereas the rest of our class starts back in January).
oh ok but the only difference was the quizzes... our projects got points only to determine if you got enough to pass.. but you didnt earn any points towards your grade for it. and as for the questions ....lol get used to it.. they only get more and more vague as you go on and honestly if you dont get a grasp of how to answer those questions you are not going to do very well. it is really too bad that people had such a hard time because that means they have to make sure they dont fail anything else... because once you fail 2 that is it, and using you first fail for 101 is rough because the pressure is really on you. well at any rate good luck with your next set of classes... they are much more interesting than the first set.
Hallelujah! I just spoke to Natalie and I FINALLY got my test scores! I passed everything with flying colors! And I had my application ready to be mailed, so I just mailed it in at work! LOL:D Get ready to see me in the Fall!
I know I'm a bit late...but Congrats! I will see you in the orientation this late summer and in class! Take care, neighbor!
That would be awesome if we could get the book list a little earlier and save some money...I bet they will send it out like mid February when they give us our set schedules and the regulations on uniforms etc...but hope all is going well for everyone and if Abbey that was a great idea with the whole facebook thing...if anyone wants to look me up i'm Erin Fitzgerald...just let me know who you are and i'll add you as well :-) If would be nice to have some familiar faces on the first day...good luck with all the compliances everyone!
Yes, please let us all know if anyone finds anything out about the book list. . .and when are we getting our class schedules? Didn't they say mid-January? Hmmmm soon hopefully! Also, does anyone know if there is an official date that our FAFSA's need to be completed by? I am doing mine for 2010-2011 to submit so I won't be able to get it in until the end of January probably. Is this ok do you think? Cheers.
I tried emailing them about two weeks ago about the books and haven't heard anything. I'm thinking about calling them but I don't know if it is a good idea or not since they said we would get it later once they knew. As far as the FAFSA I have no idea my dad always does it but if no one else knows or if I don't forget I will ask him in the morning and get back to you on that. Oh and I agree on the facebook thing, I know I'm friends with Kris and Abbey and I just sent a friend request to Erin but my name is Kayla Maxwell so anyone else can look me up.
I just got my CPR today it definitely didn't take as long as they said it would. I also talked to JoAnn today about parking and she said there is a wait list and people who started in the fall are still on it! So what are you all going to do for parking? Or how are you planning on getting there?
