I'm hoping to get into Shadyside in either sprig 2010 or the fall. Anyone else out there already accepted or trying as well?
I hope you found the location all right Rachkud! And I'm commuting from I guess the waterworks area? I don't know what it's actually called I'm not from the area so maybe you all will know what I'm talking about. I thought about the bus but I looked online at the price of a bus pass and it was like $80 a month I think. Where are you commuting from? Also if you have a facebook some of us are on there look for us I think they posted their names in earlier posts. Here is mine http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/profile.php?ref=name&id=1590900002. And I also made a group on there as well that has some of us have joined here is the link if interested. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=267022602071
Don't buy a bus pass; you can ride the bus for free once you get your Chatham ID.
It all depends on your price range...but there are a few places to go. Value City Furniture is pretty decent, especially the clearance center in the back and the one I know of is in Monroeville on US Bus Rte 22 (William Penn Hwy). Levin Furniture is pretty decent on prices as well. But it all depends on your price range! If you have the ability, you can also check out Roomful Express and they are in the North Hills (McKnight Road- US Truck 19) and Pittsburgh Mills (off PA Rte 28). That's what I've found anyway since I've been here...and I hope this helps.
IKEA!
I will give you all one piece of advice that you can either heed or ignore, if you'd like: if they have you buy a "med term" book for Nursing 101, we brought it to class once. And the Relationship Based Care book you could do without as well for 100 (she tests on the notes/lecture; I never read that book and got an A); see if it's available on half.com or amazon used if you're dead-set on buying it.

Oh man I wish I would have known that before I've already got my books. Oh well they were only 50 bucks total so I guess I can use them for reference if need be.
Does anyone from a previous class have the labortatory manual for human a&P Isbn 0073403571. I had an order in through amazon and it got canceled. Sold out and those were only used copies. I cannot find new anywhere and chatham has not ordered any of the A&P books yet. Anyhow if someone can offer one to me drop me an email. Will gladly compensate you for the trouble. Thanks.

I got mine today (well on Wed) I guess it's technically Thurs now. But we get another shot in 2-3 and then have to have it read just like this time.
