2018 UPenn BSN/MSN

Published

Greetings fellow 2018 UPenn BSN/MSN applicants! Just thought I could start a thread for the incoming applicants so we can help each other out through the application process.

Does anyone know if we need to submit separate transcripts for study abroad programs if it's already clearly stated on our official undergraduate transcript? Thanks! : )

Hello All,

I am applying to the AGPCNP Specialty and I received my interview invitation email today! Undergraduate GPA Is 3.0, Prerequisite GPA is 4.0, GRE scores were average, 50-60% and 4.0 writing. I worked for 2 years as a cancer research coordinator at a county hospital and a comprehensive cancer center.

Congrats to all applicants for completing the exhaustive application process and congrats to all receiving interview invites!

Hi guys! I was accepted into last year's cohort. If anyone has any questions about the application process let me know :) I know this is a nervous time for everyone. I was in your shoes too and I remember being so anxious throughout the process :/ !

Hi @jmroh, thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. The one thing I was curious about but didn't get a chance to ask FC during the Open House is whether or not the FNP specialty is as impacted as some people say. Penn has been getting a large number of applications for FNP (as is many other universities), so much so that they aren't even conducting interviews for that specialty. Has it been hard to get classes and get placed in clinicals for your fellow students that are currently in their specialty year?

Did anyone receive information about the financial aid process?

Got mine this morning around 9:30 AM!

Did you apply for the FNP track? Our email said that there are no interviews for FNP this year. If so, does that mean you're being considered for the BSN second degree?

did anyone apply to just the BSN second degree program?

Still waiting to hear back for Psych! :(

@etornc I applied to just the ABSN. I scanned last year's thread on here and it seems like folks who just applied to the ABSN were invited to interview later than the folks who applied to the BSN/MSN so if you're waiting to hear about an interview, it may be a few extra weeks!

Congrats to everyone and good luck to those waiting to hear... it's so stressful checking yr email every 2 seconds!!

I'm new to this thread... midwifelife and dancingmidwife88 i will also be interviewing for the CNM program.

Excited and stressed about so many things including what do I wear...........:')

Hi all - anyone know what % of individuals invited to interview are actually offered admission? (perhaps based on results from last year's thread, if there are no official numbers?)

SO ANXIOUS TO HEAR BACK! I applied for the peds primary care but I want to switch to psych, I think. Didn't know that invites were sent out today and so I have been compulsively checking my email all morning! Good luck to everyone!! :)

One word:

Anxiety.
