Hi Starestrella! I was accepted to the SF campus and I'm declining my offer because I was accepted to SFSU's ELM-A program. It's more affordable for me, and I like that we are getting a BSN and an MSN through the program. I was conflicted at first since USF has such a good reputation but it ultimately came down to getting more bang for the buck. hope that helps!

Hello All, I've been accepted to the Women's Health CNS track! Congrats to everyone admitted! :) I will be accepting the invitation. I look forward to meeting you guys! My stats: 3.5 last 60 units gpa, 4.0 prereq gpa, 4 on GRE writing portion, 2.5 years experience as a cancer research coordinator, and letters of rec from an oncologist, a family planning doctor I did research with, and my chem professor. I did pretty bad in chem during undergrad and then re-took it to show growth. I had my professor from the second time around write my letter. I had a 3.0 undergrad GPA-super low. and after graduating I truly thought I wouldn't get in anywhere. But I read other's experiences in allnurses.com, decided to work hard and gain experience, did well in post-grad classes, and raised my last 60 units GPA. I hope future applicants who read this forum don't feel disheartened if they don't have a "perfectly well-rounded" application. It's possible, try your best and show how passionate you are about nursing! :)

Hello All, I am applying to the AGPCNP Specialty and I received my interview invitation email today! Undergraduate GPA Is 3.0, Prerequisite GPA is 4.0, GRE scores were average, 50-60% and 4.0 writing. I worked for 2 years as a cancer research coordinator at a county hospital and a comprehensive cancer center. Congrats to all applicants for completing the exhaustive application process and congrats to all receiving interview invites!

Does anyone have any insight on how the interview process works? and what percent of applicants interviewed they accept?

I did too! I woke up with my heart racing thinking it was from the nursing admissions board lol. I think it just means that the graduate programs department sent our application info (like ID# and information regarding us meeting minimum requirements put forth by the grad dept) to the nursing admissions? not 100% sure though

Nevermind I figured it out! Just as a reference for anyone else who may encounter the same problem in the future: You have to contact nursingCAS and they will send you a special link so you can access applications submitted in the nursingCAS cycle. My Davis app still says "verified".

Hi everyone! I am having trouble maneuvering through NursingCAS to see my application status. I started a new application under the 2017-2018 NursingCAS cycle, and now I can't go back to the UC Davis application that was submitted during the 2016-2017 cycle. Does anyone know how I can go back and check? Thanks!

Hi! I'm applying as well! There are actually 2 threads going for this school I think you have a shot! GPA meets requirement, and you have experience. It is a nerve-wracking process but don't let that scare you away from trying!

Hi Kirby1771! It seems that UCSF really looks at your application holistically. On their website, it says successful applicants have a GRE score of at least 155 for verbal and quant, and 4 (or 4.5? can't remember) for writing. With that being said, your GRE scores look great to me! Have you had work or volunteer experience in healthcare? Are your letters of recommendation strong? Have you spent time on a personal and goal statement that reflects your passion for nursing and portrays you as a good match for this program? Those are the kinds of things they look at when considering applicants. Hope this helps!
