UPenn BSN/MSN 2012

Hi folks, good luck to everyone! I'm a traditional applicant since I already have a BSN, but wanted to ask: how do you know if the school received your transcripts? I can't find it anywhere...

hi lovemenursing,

at the interview i remember them saying that they would contact you if any components of your app are missing. if you are worried, i would definitely shoot them an email or a call to make sure everything is in.

hello! i just wanted to check in with the second degree applicants (not the bsn/msn folks) to see if anyone has heard about an interview. It is very close to their interview deadline (Jan 23rd), and I have not yet heard anything. While I will certainly wait out the rest of the days before I give up hope I was just curious to see if anyone else had been interviewed from our group. Thanks and good luck to all!

I'm a second degree BSN applicant and had an interview in mid-december. Not sure what it means if some of us did or did not get interviewed. Best of luck!

hey all! don't mean to make anyone nervous or anything but i logged onto the upenn portal and came across this message:

"Admissions decisions for Accelerated Nursing Program applicants have been completed and the Office of Admissions has discontinued the tracking of application materials. All necessary documents were available for review by the Admissions Committee or you would have been contacted directly."

i looked back on last years thread and they received the same message around the same time and heard within 2-3 days...so we should be hearing soon! good luck everyone! :)

Good to know! I can't remember my login for the portal hmmm.

I am a second-degree only applicant as well and I did not get an interview so who knows?

At the interview day I attended they told us they would send out notifications the first week of February, so no surprise!

Hi everyone! I am a Second Degree BSN candidate and had a phone interview last Friday and was told by Filomena that the admissions committee was meeting next week and final decisions will be released online as well as in the mail the week of Feb 6th. Good Luck to all!!!!

hmmm. Do they alert the BSN and the BSN/MSN students at the same time? Does anyone know?

from last years thread it seems that they alert everyone about the absn portion then a couple days later those who applied for the msn portion were then notified. so i guess its separate. guess here goes to another week of waiting! getting anxious here.

Hello everyone! I found this on Penn Admissions page today: "We will be posting Accelerated Nursing Program admissions decisions online on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 3 p.m. EST." :) very nervous but excited at the same time! good luck to everyone!!
