    USM ABSN Summer 2012

greygooseuria - thanks for the feedback on the program! I like to hear thoughts from those who have already completed the program.
  5. Hey everyone, I can't find a thread for URoch Summer '12 so I figured I'd start one so I can quit posting on the Spring '12 board! Anyone have any updates on when we'll be hearing decisions? When I interviewed, she said they were going to try for December. The wait is killing me!

    USM ABSN Summer 2012

Wow! They didn't accept anyone below a 3.7? That's crazy. I think you sound like a strong candidate so good luck with the other schools! I have applied to MGH as well. I recently met a girl at a CPR course who is starting there in January. Her GPA was below a 3.6 so perhaps they're more lenient with GPA and look more at the whole package.

    USM ABSN Summer 2012

Hi everyone! I got my letter today and I've been accepted! I did send recommendations. I didn't even realize they weren't required until after I'd sent my app in. I just assumed. Congrats to everyone!

    DUKE ABSN Fall 2012

Hi all, I'm hoping my age doesn't keep me from making it either. I sometimes feel like they lean towards older students since they have more life experience blahblah...but maybe that's just me being pessimistic! Anyway...my story isn't anything extraordinary haha. I graduated this past May from UConn with a B.S. in Allied Health (Health Promotion). It's a limited field thus why I want to continue on to nursing. I've got a 3.8 GPA & some hospital volunteer experience. Currently, I'm working as a fitness instructor at a corporate fitness center. Good luck to everyone! Hopefully we'll be hearing about interviews soon!

    UPenn BSN/MSN 2012

I applied just for BSN as well and I haven't heard anything. Maybe they're waiting until they finish MSN interviews? I hope we hear soon!

Johns Hopkins Fall Entry Accelerated BSN (2012)

Blah, I don't like that they call accepted applicants. Then, if you don't get a call, you know you've ben rejected. Sorry for being such a negative nancy haha I just wish they'd simply send letters or emails!

    DUKE ABSN Fall 2012

Just checked and they've received all my documents thankfully! I'm hoping we hear about interviews relatively quickly as they did last year. Last year they heard around 12/17 I believe.

    Quinnipiac Accelerated Program 2012

Ugh, just got the email stating letters won't be sent out until 12/12 due to the 'extraordinary number of competitive applicants'. Thanks, just what I wanted to hear! Here's to more waiting...

Just submitted my app for Fall '12 today! I didn't wait til the last minute or anything...:) The perks of an online application! Any other fall applicants? I hope we hear about interviews soon. From posts last year, it seems they heard about two weeks after the deadline!

    Quinnipiac Accelerated Program 2012

nkittiph - at least you're saving money that way! Apps are expensive. I've heard of a lot of people applying to only one program so you're not alone. I've applied to a handful - Rochester, JHU, Duquesne to name a couple. I'd really love QU though! ksahlberg - I don't have that much debt from my undergrad but the accelerated programs are still super expensive regardless. My parents are helping me thankfully but I also will be taking out loans. I just graduated in May so I'm still living at home right now to save money so I'll be putting some of that towards my education! As for living with someone...definitely. If I get into QU, I can remain at home. If I attend somewhere out of state, I'll certainly be needing a roommate!
