I am trying so hard to wait patiently for my school to send a letter, flare, telegram, or even a smoke signal for the Fall 07 admissions. Meanwhile, I am slowly driving family and friends crazy with my constant requests for their opinions on my chances, checking my email/school website several times a day, and even greeting the mail carrier. I have even called the school on several occassions to ask for updates. Each time I cleverly disguise my voice, so they won't know it's me. I've used Southern, Boston, Canadian, British, and a sortta Australian/Irish accents.
Today, I actually made a hateful face at the Letter carrier when she told me I didn't have any mail. She looked totally shocked and offered to lend me a bill. I laughed and informed her all about nursing school as she filled the mailboxes of my subdivision. I am not sure if she even wanted to hear my lamentations, but she couldn't leave without delivering the mail.
I really need reassurance from my fellow pre-nursing students that I am not the only half crazy and slightly neurotic student out there.
I am currently waiting on a decision from Indiana University for either the Indianapolis or Bloomington campuses. (The accelerated program recieved their letters last week.)
We were supposed to find out "at the end of June". Well, first thing this morning I called the school and they obviously receive a hundred calls a day from people like us. "The letters went out. It'll get there this week." Click.
I have to say that I love the post office, though. My mail usually comes after 3:00 but since I've been waiting for my letter, it has started getting here around noon.

I got my letter last week after I received a letter from the alternate program saying that I hadn't gotten in to the alternate program. *dances* I now have the pleasure of completely re-working my schedule and hopefully I can pull off a double major in Nursing and Psychology.
I am sorry you have to wait so long...my school had their letters out in March/April, so it amazes me that you have to wait this long to find out...so close to the semester starting!
I am sure you are NOT the only one waiting and driving your family and the mail man crazy!!! I know I do and I don't even have to wait this long!!

I too am waiting. I just got the results for my TEAS & critical thinking test back. I have an appt with the program head today, then the waiting will begin. My school will sometimes wait right up until the week before classes start to let u know anything. Only been a few days and i am already sitting here sick to my stomach. Maybe, hope against hope, she will be able to give me a clue today! Good luck everyone who is waiting!
I'm waiting to be taken off a waiting list. They've helpfully told me I could get a letter anytime between today and the last day of summer, which isn't until the end of August!
So am I. I got my letter last weekend and I was put on the alternate list. I'm PRAYING that I get in. If not better luck next year.
I wish everyone luck that hasn't heard back yet...I can only imagine how bitten down fingernails are. I know this is stressful for everyone (I was initially waitlisted, so I know how emotionally devastating that letter is, no matter how much you convince yourself you won't be upset).
Hey! Have you all managed to find out wether your'e in yet? Im waiting to hear from the uni now for all the final dates etc! Really cant wait! Just want to get this started! Let me know your outcomes and good luck!!!
