Hello Everyone!!
It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?
I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.
I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!

edit: Insurance is actually due June 30, not June 1, in InPlace as well.
Insurance is due June 19. Below is part of an email I recieved in regards to important dates.
June 1st
TB testing - 2 skin tests or 1 blood test
BON Blue Card - submit side showing your name, this must be correctly uploaded by the deadline.
June 19th
Insurance Compliance for Fall (you do not need coverage for Summer)
Verification of Insurance form (found in InPlace shared documents) AND
Copy of card or proof of purchase
June 30th
Canvas Orientation due - must have 100% on all assignments
July 24th
BLS (CPR) certification good through at least December 2020
We hope to have more information on whether ANSA will be able to have these courses in July

Thank you! Got a little confused there. For the coverage, is there a document or page online that lists the specific coverages we need in the insurance for our program, I tried to find one online but didn't see anything (I know we need emergency/needle stick coverage, etc.). The BCBS student health insurance through UTA is a bit expensive for me so I wanted to look at other cheaper health insurance alternatives, does anyone have any suggestions on other coverages? I've heard Ambetter is cheap (although I know not many places accept it, will it still fulfill the insurance compliance for the program?)

Im not sure that sounds like a question for the advisor. I was going to get the cheapest insurance out there for like 100 dollars a month. Then covid19 came around and its not such a great idea to have a cheap insurance since they cover so little and expect a lot of payment out of pocket. Im actually going to get the UTA student insurance. It's better then my current insurance working as a teacher for a school district however I just resigned so my district insurance ends in the Summer. Upfront the UTA student insurance seems expensive but if for whatever reason you get sick and you need to be hospitalized you are sure going to be grateful you have it. In my humble opinion I wouldnt skimp on health insurance during a pandemic. It might end up costing you more on the long run. Just my 2 cents.
Can anyone email me the RRD’s for Pathophysiology PLEASEEEEE??
there are currently insurances for like $100 a month, which is like - you pay all till $20K , and after that they pay till bill reaches 1 mill or 5 mill, which is only for medical emergencies tat would cost you $250 etc ( a friend of mine who died had a $250 K bill for a stroke a few years ago), maybe also expensive procedures like transplants. UTA coverage is not cheap if you work pat time and all but compared to to rest good insurances is 3-4 times cheaper and is good insurance....

You can try and get it through healthcare.gov and say it is a major life change. They might take it

Make sure to check your emails because that is were they are updating us. If you didn't get the email let the advisors know. Maybe your not on the mass email list they are using on outlook and just need to add you.
