University of Texas at Arlington Fall 2020 Cohort

Published

Hello Everyone!!

It is finally my time to post to this forum! EXCITING!!! I did not see a thread for Fall 2020 and I might be SUUUUPER early but man that nursing application process takes proper a year doesn't it?

I am done with all my general courses and TEAS except for nursing chem, one elective (health and human disease), Patho, Pharm, and Intro to Nursing. I plan to take CHEM 1451 and HEED 4312 in the Fall 19 semester, apply in January, and then while waiting on that, take Patho and Intro to Nursing in Spring 2020 and Pharm by itself in Summer 2020.

I have an A in Micro, A&P 1, and A&P 2. This has been a LOOOONG journey and I cannot wait to start!

Are you on waitlisted?

If you switch to on campus, would you have to go on the waitlist first?

Honestly, I do not know about this,

You might want to check before you switch.

Hello everyone,

I am new to this site and need advise. If I can switch my application from AO BSN program to campus based, then do I have more chances to get in? I have no considerations and score is 8. Please please suggest me.

WOW!! So you have a 4.0! That sucks to have a 4.0 and not get in, but I get the considerations and why they include them. And I'm thankful because that's what ranked me high enough to get accepted. But still, 4.0!! Congrats on that! I transferred in 2 B+'s and 1 B from my previous degree from a million years ago at Baylor. Of course, they all come over as just B's at UTA. Worked my butt off since last January taking 31 credit hours and making sure I got all A's to be competitive. Three of the hours were BIOL1345, which didn't count toward my pre-req hours, so I was 2 hours short of a 3rd consideration for 30+ hours at UTA. But I had all 16 science hours and a previous bachelors, so I got a full point added to my 7.859. Your 4.0 is super impressive. You should be proud! ?

okay thank you so much. I just need my hep A titer. I had it done when I was a kid but I don't know where my "official" records would be. I've used the high school records for everything and no one had an issue with it until now.

Keep in mind, as per the email that was sent out and as listed in the immunization requirements you can’t get a titer done after the last dose of any vaccination until at least 28 days after. If it’s within 28 days, they will reject it.

I am also in the same situation. But, I can’t do on campus as I am located near San Antonio. This was the only school I had applied. The maximum points you can get without considerations is 8 and even with that you can’t get in. I hope we will get pulled out of waitlist.
