Anyone have any insight on this program? I'm in the process of applying and would love to know about the school!

well i guess i didnt get in! :( Well congrats to you both!!!!

I wouldn't give up hope, yeah? We're required to notify the CON by April 12th. If we fail to notify them, the CON has indicated that the spot will be given to the "next eligible applicant". Keep your chin up.

i just got that i'm on alternate list :/ I have to be hopeful! Just more waiting.

Doesn't say how many are on alternate though.. uhh

Hey everyone!

I just got accepted to USF last night too!! =) I'm from Ft. Lauderdale and looking for a place to live...Does anyone know the area well?Looking into apts close to campus.

Ps. If you are still waiting to hear from USF be patient and positive. =) You will hear soon.

Sehsun- I see you are in the program now... and wanted to know if the professors prepare you well for the tests (even though I will be doing a lot of studying on my own) Do the teachers emphasize what you need to know or do they expect you to know everything? Would you you please PM me with any info. you think would be helpful? Thank you in advance :) Hope everything is going well for you!:)

I live in the area, but am not familiar w/ apartments near campus at all. Sorry.

I own a home about 8 - 10 minutes away from USF (in New Tampa) and I'm looking at renting one of the extra rooms. If anyone is interested, feel free to PM me. :)

Hey Lawyer Girl,

Thanks for letting me know. No problem.. I will be looking for a 1/1 most likely... but the house idea sounds good too :0) I won't be in Tampa for a few weeks though.

Definitely no worries...just putting the offer out there for allnurses land to see. LOL! I hope everything works out for you.

I was a bit nervous yesterday....this is such a big change for me. Today, though.....I'm really excited. :)

I agree with you! I could hardly sleep.. lol.. thanks =) I hope everything works out well for you too. Keep in touch

Specializes in ICU.

Although I am moving away from Tampa to attend UCF program I know ALL about USF's area/Tampa. I would suggest staying away from 42nd st and 46th st. I have not lived over there since 2007, however I still know some students over there and BREAK INS are UP, Especially Avalon located right off Fletcher ave. Its crazy because a girl caught someone climbing her balcony as she got out the shower:down:. Temple Terrance is not a good choice either, my friend just got robbed of all his electronics in Jan. Nobody saw them walk out with his 42 inch Samsung .

I have lived near the stadium twice (Habana ave/MLK & Dale Mabry/Columbus), town and country(bay port community), tampa heights, USF (Berkenridge now call on 42nd) and have never had any problems anywhere.

Since you all do not know where your clinicals are going to be I suggest staying close to I275. Trust me it is far better heading NORTH on I275 in the morning for than heading South on I275 in the morning; HUGE HUGE difference unless you now every back street like I do :twocents:.

I got wait listed. . . at least there's still some hope!

im wait listed as well, just staying positive! :)
