  1. Does anyone know how they know what your "other reasonable costs" are and health insurance? Is it an estimated amount that they give everyone or do we somehow submit this info? I know these costs were not included in my tuition document I uploaded when I applied. Thanks!
  2. Awesome, thanks for the update on your end! That makes me feel better ?
  3. Hello! Has anyone received a finalist award for the National Health Service Corps Scholarship? There is currently a thread for the Nurse Corps scholarship, so I wanted to reach those that have also applied to the NHSC Scholarship program.
  4. Did anyone receive a finalist award for the NHSC Scholarship? I applied to both the Nurse Corps and the NHSC Scholarships and now my Nurse Corps app has been automatically withdrawn after receiving my finalist notification for NHSC. I'm assuming since I'm a finalist, have submitted the requested paperwork, and signed the contract, that means I will get the award? My profile currently reads: Your overall application status is: Accepted Award - Under Final Review Has anyone who received either the Nurse Corps or the NHSC Scholarship gotten any further than that or have a timeline on when money will be distributed? I have to pay tuition next week and assume I will be using student loans for my first semester if something doesn't come through soon. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  5. Hey! I was a 3.4 GPA, 1200 GRE and my undergrad was a BA in Art History. However, I did have a lot of community service work and volunteering which was on my resume and helped in writing my essays. I was also able to meet people through volunteering who wrote me (what I assume were) great recommendation letters. So, my biggest recommendation is to get out there and show what you can give to your community. Read Emory's mission and values website like to get a bette idea of the kind of person they are looking for: Emory | School of Nursing I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions (: Danielle
  6. What does it mean when someone petitions? Does that mean they didn't get in or wait listed, appealed the denial, and got in before the wait listed people?
  7. Congrats!!!!!! How were you notified? Ahh I'm nervous now!
  8. I haven't heard anything yet either.
  9. Thank you for the update!
  10. I haven't heard anything. But my mail hasn't come yet today. . .
  11. Just checked the mail. . . another day of waiting!
  12. I was accepted to UM for the summer start as well and I am on the wait list at USF. I'm not sure what I'll do if I get in! It's a hard decision for me. . .
  13. Congrats!! Did your status change on the myunc portal? Thanks (:
  14. I got wait listed. . . at least there's still some hope!
  15. Ohh thanks for the update :)
